Scouting report

DAL RB Tony Pollard - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. New York Giants
Tony Pollard looked great in Week 15 but was relegated back to backup status in Week 16 when he only saw ten touches compared to Ezekiel Elliott’s 23. So long as Elliott is in the lineup, Pollard cannot be trusted to see enough touches to warrant consideration in DFS. Look elsewhere for running backs in Week 17.

DAL RB Tony Pollard - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs. Philadelphia Eagles
Tony Pollard's Week 16 outlook depends heavily on Ezekiel Elliott's status. Pollard looked awesome posting 132 total yards and two rushing scores last week with Elliott sitting out, but Zeke was back practicing in a limited capacity this week. If Zeke sits out again, it is hard not to consider Pollard a strong RB1 given his projected workload and demonstrated efficiency. As of Saturday, Zeke is listed as questionable and we may not know his status until inactives are released Sunday. If Zeke is inactive again, fire up Pollard as a no-doubt starter. If Zeke plays, both backs would be low-upside options at best.

DAL RB Tony Pollard - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Washington Football Team
Tony Pollard's Week 11 fantasy line looks promising, but context is key in fantasy football and the vast majority of Pollard's production last week came on one 42-yard touchdown run. Pollard only received four other carries in the game and was not targeted in the passing game. Make no mistake about it, Ezekiel Elliott is still the workhorse in Dallas and Pollard's fantasy relevance depends entirely on Elliott suffering an injury. Pollard is not a starting option in Week 12, especially with a tough matchup against the Washington defense.

DAL RB Tony Pollard - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Washington Football Team
Tony Pollard received extra work last week, but that was mostly due to Dallas getting blown out and Ezekiel Elliott fumbling twice. Pollard was not getting enough volume to warrant fantasy consideration before Dak Prescott's injury, and the offense as a whole is significantly worse without Prescott under center. Pollard remains a bench stash heading into Week 7.

DAL RB Tony Pollard - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Cleveland Browns

DAL RB Tony Pollard - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at Seattle Seahawks
Tony Pollard remains strong running back insurance as the clear backup to Ezekiel Elliott, but he carries no standalone value as he only gets a few snaps per week when Elliot is healthy. Keep Pollard on your bench if you have a roster spot to spare, but he is not worthy of being started in any fantasy format.

DAL RB Tony Pollard - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 vs. Los Angeles Rams
Tony Pollard will only be relevant in fantasy if Ezekiel Elliott suffers an injury or the Cowboys make a major change to how they deploy their backfield. Keep him on the bench in Week 1.
