Scouting report

TEN RB Shonn Greene - Week 17, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Charlie Whitehurst Week 17 vs. Colts
Shonn Green got seven carries for 28 yards last week after getting 16 for 50 in the previous game. There's just no consistency to his usage. Look elsewhere for help.

TEN RB Shonn Greene - Week 16, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Shonn Greene Week 16 vs. Jaguars
Shonn Greene had his best game since Week 1 last week, carrying 16 times for 50 yards. The Jaguars have given up 13 rushing touchdowns this season and Greene is probably the most likely Titans running back to score, but his usage has been way too inconsistent.

TEN RB Shonn Greene - Week 6, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Shonn Greene Week 6 vs. Jaguars
Eleven carries for 33 yards last week against Cleveland could mean that Greene might soon find his way to the bench. So, too, might a leg injury that has left him limited at practice this week. There's no reason to play Greene at this point, even against a soft Jacksonville run defense.

TEN RB Shonn Greene - Week 5, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Shonn Greene Week 5 vs. Browns
It looks like doomsday finally arrived for Shonn Greene, who got just three carries for 10 yards last week. Head coach Ken Whisenhunt is ready to turn things over to rookie Bishop Sankey, which could relegate Greene to a short-yardage role. That won't be enough to help you in your fantasy matchup this week.

TEN RB Shonn Greene - Week 4, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Shonn Greene Week 4 vs. Colts
Shonn Greene had 10 carries for 33 yards last week against Cincinnati, most of it coming before things got away from the Titans. With Jake Locker likely out this week, the Titans could rely more on their run game to protect Charlie Whitehurst, who would be making his first start since 2011. Greene won't give you anything in the passing game, but a 10-to-15-carry effort could produce 50 to 60 yards, making him an OK flex option.

TEN RB Shonn Greene - Week 3, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Shonn Greene Week 3 vs. Bengals
Shonn Greene got just five carries last week, but produced 40 yards. He remains the starter for the Titans but will face a still test in Cincinnati's run defense. A silver lining is the fact Vontaze Burfict looks to be out of this one. That could help soften things up a little bit. But the expectations are not high for Greene this week. Only use him as a low-end flex player.

TEN RB Shonn Greene - Week 2, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Shonn Greene Week 2 vs Dallas
Shonn Greene got 15 carries for 71 yards last week against Kansas City, compared to six rushes for 25 yards for Bishop Sankey. And most of Sankey's playing time came in the fourth quarter when the Titans were mopping up victory. Greene will continue to be the starter until he does something to lose the job. That hasn't happened yet and he has a nice matchup against Dallas this week. Greene isn't going to give you much as a receiver, but he's a nice low-end No. 2 back or flex player this week given the matchup.
