Shonn Greene Week 1 vs Chiefs
Shonn Greene will get the start over highly touted rookie Bishop Sankey this week against a Kansas City defense that was 28th in the NFL last season in terms of fantasy points permitted to opposing running backs. But Greene will likely split carries, limiting his value. Use him as a flex, if at all.

Fantasy Upside
A two-time 1,000-yard rusher, Shonn Greene is the most proven of the backs in Tennessee.

Fantasy Downside
The team didn’t take Bishop Sankey to sit him on the bench.

Bottom Line
Greene has held off the rookie throughout the preseason. But Sankey has the highest pedigree of the Tennessee running backs. At some point, he’s going to likely be the lead dog – or at least be given that chance. Greene could wind up as a glorified goal-line back. But when you’re talking about a running back whose ADP has him going in the 15th or 16th rounds, you could do a lot worse.
