JAX TE Seth DeValve - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. Indianapolis Colts
Gardner Minshew looked to his TE six times last Sunday at Atlanta, connecting with Seth DeValve three times for a season-high 45 yards. Prior to last week, DeValve had only 81 yards in six games. While the Jags will be at home on Sunday there is still very little reason for DeValve to be inserted in your starting lineup.

Week 16 at Atlanta Falcons
The Jaguars aerial attack was held to just over 200 yards by the Raiders last week, with Seth DeValve collecting two grabs for 23 yards. After missing the previous four games with an oblique injury, DeValve led the Jacksonville TEs with 29 offensive snaps and should remain the team’s top tight end for the final two contests. However, there have to be better options for you to start during your fantasy playoffs.

Week 13 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
After missing the past two weeks due to an oblique injury, Seth DeValve could be back on the field Sunday at home versus the Bucs. Even if he’s cleared to play versus a bad pass defense, there is no reason for DeValve to be a part of your starting lineup.

Week 11 at Indianapolis Colts
In the loss to the Texans two weeks ago, Seth DeValve posted season-highs with four receptions and 41 yards. While he’s splitting time with rookie Josh Oliver, DeValve has been the better option thus far. However, neither TE makes for a good play, even with Nick Foles back as the Jacksonville QB.

Even with Gardner Minshew throwing for 279 yards last week versus the Jets, Seth DeValve saw only one target, resulting in an 11-yard reception. Although the fourth-year pro is receiving more playing time due to injuries and posted decent numbers with the Browns two years ago, there is no reason for him to be a part of your fantasy roster.
