Rams waive RB Darrell Henderson

The Rams announced on Tuesday that they have waived Henderson off of their roster.

Fantasy Impact:

Henderson was signed to the active roster early this month and he ran 46 times for 112 yards and two touchdowns in four appearances. He also caught 10 passes for 103 yards. But Williams is expected to be back for Week 12 and it looks like the Rams will go with Freeman as the RB2, at least until Rivers comes off the IR.

Sean McVay said the Rams will get RB Kyren Williams back against the Cardinals.

Fantasy Impact:

Williams has been on IR with an ankle injury, but because of the bye it's been five weeks since he was hurt. Williams should be ready to go in a good matchup in Week 12. With Rivers still on IR, the backup duties will go to either Henderson or Freeman or a combination of both. It may not be fair to expect a huge workload from Williams his first week back in the fold, but he should at least have higher-end RB2 value vs. the Cardinals.

Rams sign RB Myles Gaskin from Vikings practice squad

The Rams are adding another running back to help offset the injuries to Kyren Williams and Ronnie Rivers.

Los Angeles is signing Myles Gaskin off of the Vikings’ practice squad, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Fantasy Impact:

It's been reported Evans will get the start in Week 7, assuming Williams is out with the ankle injury. Freeman was signed from the practice squad and will likely get work as well. The Rams have been busy building up their RBs, they also signed old friend Henderson today to the practice squad. Williams is expected to miss this week but Rivers could end up on IR and miss 4-5 weeks according to reports.

Freeman will likely split time with Evans this week, who is rumored to be the starter in Week 7 with Williams unlikely to play and Rivers out. Henderson could stick around for a while as Rivers is expected to miss 4-5 weeks and could be an IR candidate. The Rams are hoping Williams misses a week at most so there could be more RB shuffling over the next week in LA.
