Scouting report

NO WR Nick Toon - 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside
Nick Toon was battling with Brandon Coleman for the Saints No. 3 wideout spot but he suffered a high ankle sprain in the team’s second preseason game and will miss 2-3 weeks. If Brandin Cooks, Marques Colston and/or Coleman were to get hurt, Toon would have seen his snaps increase.

Fantasy Downside
Toon was reportedly having a disappointing camp before suffering the injury. The New Orleans Times-Picayune reported there was "still a question” as to how much the Saints liked Toon even before he injured his ankle. With Cooks, Colston and Coleman firmly ahead of him on the depth chart, Toon offers little to no fantasy upside.

Bottom Line
Toon currently ranks as our WR99 and is going undrafted in 10 and 12-team leagues. Unless there’s an injury, Toon isn’t even a viable streaming option heading into the season.

NO WR Nick Toon - Week 17, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17: Toon vs. Bucs
Nick Toon caught three-of-six targets for 44 yards in the Saints' Week 16 loss to the Falcons. Toon has now posted at least 40 yards receiving in each of his last three games and in four of his last five contests overall. But while he's consistent, Toon's production isn't nearly enough to draw looks in fantasy. Leave him on your waiver wire for Week 17.

NO WR Nick Toon - Week 16, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16: Toon vs. Falcons
Nick Toon caught all four of his targets for 43 yards in the Saints’ Week 15 win over the Bears on Monday night. He remains the team’s No. 3 wideout with Brandin Cooks on injured reserve but he’s still not seeing enough targets to have fantasy relevance. Avoid him in Week 16.

NO WR Nick Toon - Week 15, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15: Toon vs. Bears
Nick Toon caught four-of-four targets for 45 yards in the Saints’ Week 14 loss to the Panthers. While he did out-produce Kenny Stills last week, Toon has zero fantasy value. Leave him on your waiver wire.

NO WR Nick Toon - Week 14, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14: Toon vs. Panthers
Nick Toon caught two passes for 17 yards and a touchdown in the Saints’ Week 13 win over the Steelers. Despite catching the touchdown pass and successfully bypassing Robert Meachem on New Orleans’ depth chart, Toon won’t hold much value throughout the fantasy playoffs. Leave him on your waiver wire.

NO WR Nick Toon - Week 13, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13: Toon vs. Steelers
Nick Toon caught three-of-five targets for 42 yards in the Saints' Week 12 loss to the Ravens. With Brandin Cooks out for the season Toon played on a season-high 44 snaps on the night. But even with the bump in playing time, don't expect Toon to be fantasy relevant unless the Saints take another hit to their receiving corps. Leave Toon on your waiver wire.

NO WR Nick Toon - Week 12, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12: Toon vs. Ravens
Nick Toon wasn’t targeted in the Saints’ Week 11 loss to the Bengals. In fact, he hasn’t been targeted all season, and even though Brandin Cooks was placed on injured reserve last week, Toon won’t have a big role in Sean Payton’s offense. Leave him on your waiver wire.
