IND TE Mo Alie-Cox - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Cleveland Browns

Mo Alie-Cox scored another touchdown last week, but it was his only reception and he was targeted just twice. Meanwhile Trey Burton had five targets. This week, Alie-Cox faces a Browns defense that ranks 30th in aFPA to opposing tight ends, giving him significant upside if he can lock down consistent targets. However, with Burton and Jack Doyle in the mix, it’s too risky to count on any of the tight ends in Indianapolis and he should remain on the bench for the time being.

IND TE Mo Alie-Cox - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at Chicago Bears

Mo Alie-Cox had another good game last week against the Jets with 50 yards and a touchdown off three receptions. The coaching staff seemed to indicate he’ll have a role moving forward, so hopefully, he’s supplanted Jack Doyle and we can have a consistent fantasy option at the position for this team. Chicago actually ranks 20th in aFPA to opposing tight ends this year, so it’s worth considering him in deeper leagues, but he’s a risky streaming option at best until we get more clarity on his snap count with a healthy Doyle – and possibly a healthy Trey Burton soon – in the mix.

IND TE Mo Alie-Cox - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs. New York Jets

Mo Alie-Cox had a great game filling in for the injured Jack Doyle last week, catching five balls for 111 yards. He’s been talked about for over a year now as a long-term threat for the starting job, and he demonstrated why against the Vikings. Look out for Jack Doyle’s health – he’s questionable this week – but for as long a Doyle is out, Alie-Cox should have some value.

This week, he’ll face a lowly Jets team that just got torched by Jordan Reed and the 49ers backup offensive unit. If Doyle is out again, move Alie-Cox into top-level streaming territory. If Doyle plays, leave Alie-Cox on the bench, but try to keep him on your roster if possible. Doyle hasn’t been super healthy in recent seasons.

IND TE Mo Alie-Cox - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at Tennessee Titans

The Colts offensive starters, if healthy, will play a full 60 minutes in Week 17 in what has turned into a play-in game against the Titans. Indianapolis is a 3-point road favorite with an implied team total of 23.25 points. Tennessee is third in aFPA to TEs, and Eric Ebron is in the concussion protocol. If he cannot play, Mo Alie-Cox would become a streaming option. Otherwise, Ebron remains a high-end TE1 for Week 17.
