Scouting report

by Scot Berggren

DET K Matt Prater - Week 8, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Houston
In the win over Washington last Sunday, Matt Prater made two of three field goals and totaled eight points. The Texans have a solid pass defense, so scoring may come at a premium at Houston on Sunday.

DET K Matt Prater - Week 7, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Washington
Matt Prater made a 34-yard field goal and four extra points in the win over Los Angeles last week. The offense should be able to move the ball on Washington at home, which should lead to another scoring day for Prater.

DET K Matt Prater - Week 6, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Los Angeles
Matt Prater’s game-winning 29-yard field goal knocked the Eagles from the undefeated list last week. He totaled six points for the second straight week and has converted eight-of-nine FG attempts on the season.

DET K Matt Prater - Week 5, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. Philadelphia
Matt Prater was true on both of his FG attempts last week in Chicago, including connecting from 50-yards out. The Lions have totaled just 56 points the past three contests and will be facing a good Philly defense at home on Sunday.

DET K Matt Prater - Week 4, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at Chicago
Even though Detroit’s offense sputtered early at Green Bay last week, Matt Prater totaled nine points – booting FGs from 42 and 50 yards, while missing from 43. He’s averaging eight points a game and should have a good scoring outing at Chicago on Sunday.

DET K Matt Prater - Week 3, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at Green Bay
Matt Prater made his only two field goal attempts last week in the loss to Tennessee. Even though Detroit scored just 15 points, the offense has been moving the ball in the first two games. Prater's opportunities may be a bit limited at Green Bay, however.

DET K Matt Prater - Week 2, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs. Tennessee
After missing a costly extra point, Matt Prater redeemed himself by booting through a 43-yard field goal to give the Lions a narrow win at Indy in Week 1. Detroit’s offense was in full-gear in the opener and there’s no reason to think the Tennessee defense will slow them down. Prater is a good kicker open facing the Titans at home.
