WAS TE Logan Thomas - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at Cleveland Browns

Logan Thomas is tied with Terry McLaurin for the team lead in targets through two weeks with 17. He's second on the team in receptions (8) and third in receiving yards (63). Thomas should be viewed as a borderline TE1 play this week against the Browns. We're projecting around 4-5 receptions for about 40 yards for Thomas.

WAS TE Logan Thomas - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at Arizona Cardinals

Logan Thomas emerged as a sleeper tight end candidate in Week 1. He finished with a team-high eight targets, catching four passes for 37 yards and a touchdown. He played on 74% of the offensive snaps as well. Thomas could be a sneaky TE1 play this week against Arizona. The Cardinals were terrible against tight ends in 2019, allowing the most fantasy points to the position.

WAS TE Logan Thomas - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Logan Thomas enters the season as Washington's starting tight end, but that doesn't mean a whole lot. Washington didn't use tight ends much in 2019 following injuries to Jordan Reed and Vernon Davis. Jeremy Sprinkle was the primary option at TE and finished 26-241-1. Thomas has also never been a star TE himself, compiling 35 career receptions since joining the league in 2014. He's not worth your time.

DET TE Logan Thomas - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. Green Bay Packers
The Lions offense was held to fewer than 200 yards in the loss against the Broncos last Sunday. Logan Thomas caught two passes for 17 yards and has registered just six grabs for 62 yards in the past four weeks. If your fantasy season is still going there has to be better options for you to start at TE.

DET TE Logan Thomas - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at Denver Broncos
David Blough threw for 260 yards in the loss to Tampa Bay last week, but Logan Thomas was held without a grab on four targets. Blough connected with eight other pass catchers, including fellow TE Jesse James three times. Thomas has just 13 grabs on the season and doesn’t make for a good fantasy option on the road against a respectable Denver pass defense.

DET TE Logan Thomas - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
David Blough threw 40 passes at Minnesota last week with Logan Thomas receiving four targets. He finished with two receptions for 21 yards, bringing his season total to 13 grabs. Thomas has seen limited action due to T.J. Hockenson being the starter for most of the year; but, even with the rookie on IR, there is no reason for Thomas to be inserted into your starting lineup.

DET TE Logan Thomas - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at Minnesota Vikings
With T.J. Hockenson being placed on IR, Logan Thomas will be the Lions starting TE for the final four games of ‘19. While he failed to receive a target from David Blough on Thanksgiving, Thomas has 11 receptions, including a TD a couple weeks ago at Washington, this season. In his debut Blough threw 11 times in the direction of Hockenson, leading to six short receptions. Expect the rookie QB to look Logan’s way often on Sunday, but he should be considered just a TE2 start on the road.
