JAX WR Laviska Shenault - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Tennessee Titans
At Minnesota last week, Laviska Shenault caught three passes for 38 yards and scored his first TD since the opener. Jacksonville continues to look for ways to get the rookie the ball as he also had two carries for 30 yards. Shenault hasn’t registered more than three receptions in a game since Week 5 and will continue to compete with other young pass catchers on the team for looks from Mike Glennon. Shenault totaled 72 yards on eight touches in the Week 2 loss at Tennessee.

JAX WR Laviska Shenault - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Minnesota Vikings
In his return to the field last week versus Cleveland, Laviska Shenault caught three passes for 31 yards from Mike Glennon. It was a rather disappointing outing, considering fellow WRs D.J. Chark and Chris Conley were out, but good for owners to see Shenault not be hampered by the hamstring injury that cost him the previous two contests. Even though Minnesota has had problems against the pass Shenault is just a WR3/flex option.

JAX WR Laviska Shenault - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Houston Texans
At the Chargers two weeks ago, Laviska Shenault led the Jags with 44 receiving yards on four grabs. Gardner Minshew was held to only 14 completions for under 200 passing yards in the loss. In his first seven games in the NFL Shenault is averaging four receptions for 46 yards and hasn’t been in the end zone since the opener. Last month in Houston he had his best day as a pro, grabbing seven passes for 79 yards but is a risky fantasy start in the rematch, especially with Jake Luton making his first start at QB.

JAX WR Laviska Shenault - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Los Angeles Chargers
After totaling 165 receiving yards the previous two contests, Laviska Shenault was held to only three grabs for 10 yards on seven targets versus Detroit last week. Keelan Cole was over 100 yards in the loss and now leads the team in looks and receptions. While the rookie hasn’t scored since his first NFL game, look for Gardner Minshew to keep airing it out, making Shenault a WR3/flex option.

JAX WR Laviska Shenault - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Detroit Lions
Gardner Minshew threw for over 300 yards again last week in the loss at Houston with Laviska Shenault leading the Jaguars with seven catches and 79 yards. Over the past three games, the rookie has turned 20 targets into 17 grabs, but he’s been held out of the end zone since the opener. With D.J. Chark nursing a sore ankle Shenault may be counted on more in the home battle versus the Lions. Consider him a WR3/flex start.

JAX WR Laviska Shenault - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Houston Texans
In the loss to the Bengals last week Laviska Shenault snagged five passes for a season-high 86 yards. Even though he hasn’t been in the end zone since Week 1, the rookie has posted five receptions in back-to-back outings and will continue to be a vital member of the Jaguars offense. Be sure to monitor his status as he’s battling a hamstring injury. Houston’s defense has been stingy versus the pass, so consider Shenault a WR3/flex start if he’s active.

JAX WR Laviska Shenault - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at Cincinnati Bengals
Laviska Shenault snagged five passes for 33 yards last Thursday versus Miami, but his 6.6 yards per reception average is a bit of a concern. The Jaguars were without top WR and deep threat D.J. Chark, so many of Gardner Minshew’s passes were of the shorter variety. Shenault can make things happen in space and will continue to be a vital part of the offense. Chark may return on Sunday, which would likely lead to better numbers for all Jacksonville players.
