CIN RB Joe Mixon - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at Denver
After getting the ball 30+ times for two straight weeks, Joe Mixon's touches have fallen off and so have his fantasy stats. In the last two games, he has had 37 carries for 112 yards and has barely been involved in the passing game. He also failed to score a touchdown against San Francisco. It was the first game he didn't reach the end zone since Week 6.

Mixon will face the Broncos who are ranked 23rd in aFPA to running backs. Even with the favorable matchup, we worry that the touches have fallen over the last two weeks. Whether it is to save wear and tear on Mixon's body or just spreading the ball around, it has affected his numbers.

Start Mixon for Week 15 but only as a low-end RB1 against Denver. It would help if he would get more involved in the passing game as he has had 7 targets in the last four games.

CIN RB Joe Mixon - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. San Francisco
Joe Mixon has been a beast lately. He has scored touchdowns in 9 straight games. In four of those games, he scored 2 touchdowns. His touches were under 20 last week for the first time in a while, but that's because Cincinnati got behind.

Mixon will face the Niners who are ranked 17th in aFPA to running backs. We expect the Bengals to get back to feeding Mixon so expect touches similar to the previous two weeks where he had 30 per game. He is dealing with a non-COVID illness so be sure to monitor his status.

Start Mixon as a top 5 fantasy running back for Week 14 in all leagues and formats. With the touches, he should continue to put up huge numbers and be an asset on your fantasy team.

CIN RB Joe Mixon - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. Los Angeles Chargers
Joe Mixon has been a fantasy beast the past two weeks with 288 rushing yards and has scored 10 touchdowns in the last eight games. Cincinnati has been feeding him as the touches have exceeded 30 the past two games. The Bengals like the formula as it has worked for them.

Mixon faces the Chargers who are ranked 27th in aFPA to running backs. Los Angeles has not really stopped anyone from running the ball and the Bengals know it. Expect more of the same from the Cincinnati offense.

Start Mixon as a top five fantasy running backs for Week 13 and don't be surprised if he is the top fantasy running back if he hits the 30 touch mark for the third straight week,

CIN RB Joe Mixon - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Pittsburgh
Owners of Joe Mixon loved what they saw last week with the veteran running back carrying the ball 30 times. That resulted in 123 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Obviously, volume helps with any fantasy player whether it is carries or passing targets, but we noticed with Mixon, he delivers when gets both.

Mixon faces the Steelers who are ranked 19th in aFPA to running backs. In the first meeting with Pittsburgh, he had 94 total yards from scrimmage but did not score a touchdown. The Steelers defense has been banged up but we expect some of these players to be back in the lineup on Sunday.

Start Mixon as a solid RB1 for Week 12 and hope the carries continue to come. Bengals win when they do so there is no reason he shouldn't get 20-25 touches and that will produce good fantasy numbers.

CIN RB Joe Mixon - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Las Vegas
Joe Mixon had a strong game before the off week with 18 touches and 110 total yards from scrimmage even though the Bengals got blown out by Cleveland. As long as he gets 15+ touches, Mixon has been consistent with his fantasy numbers.

Cincy faces the Raiders who are ranked 28th in aFPA to running backs. The Bengals should give Mixon 20+ touches this week with that matchup.

Start Mixon as a solid RB1 for Week 11. Bengals are rested and will want to run the ball against a struggling Las Vegas defense.

CIN RB Joe Mixon - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Cleveland
Joe Mixon's touches were up from the previous game, but still not in that 20+ range. He ended up having a good day in the passing game with 58 receiving yards and a touchdown reception. He ended up with 91 total yards and added a rushing touchdown for a very good fantasy outing, especially in PPR leagues.

Mixon faces the Browns who are ranked 11th in aFPA to running backs. He only faced Cleveland once last season and his numbers were averaged, but he did have two 100+ rushing yard performances against them back in 2019.

Start Mixon as a low-end RB1 for Week 9. We still want to see those touches up, but the fact he is getting more involved in the passing game bodes well for his fantasy output.

CIN RB Joe Mixon - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at New York Jets
Joe Mixon has been a confusing fantasy player as his usage has fluctuated so far in 2021. He only had 12 touches against Baltimore and that has happened on occasion this season. Most expected him to be a 20+ touch guy every week but that hasn't happened. He did score a TD last Sunday but only had 59 total yards.

Mixon will face the Jets who are 30th in aFPA to running backs. This seems like a great matchup but again the touches are killing his mojo.

Start Mixon for Week 8 but only as an RB2. The matchup should help produce some numbers if the touches are there. But there is some risk involved so getting him to give you RB1 numbers is less probable.
