SF QB Jimmy Garoppolo - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at Tennessee Titans

Jimmy Garoppolo had a modest performance last week against the Falcons, throwing for 235 yards and a touchdown in a lopsided victory. He’s been a decent streaming option in the right matchups this season, despite having a fairly low ceiling.

This week, Garoppolo faces a Titans defense that ranks 24th in aFPA to opposing quarterbacks. In a nice matchup, expect Garoppolo to flirt with viable fantasy numbers again and to be a viable streaming option for needy fantasy teams.

SF QB Jimmy Garoppolo - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Atlanta Falcons

Jimmy Garoppolo had an efficient game in a win over the Bengals last week, completing 65.9% of his passes for 296 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Garoppolo has thrown multiple touchdowns in five of his last six games and continues to be a viable streaming option in the right matchups.

This week, Garoppolo faces a Falcons defense that ranks 28th in aFPA to opposing quarterbacks. A nice matchup and recent production make him a solid streaming option this week, and we have him ranked just outside our top-12, making him a fringe starter.

SF QB Jimmy Garoppolo - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at Cincinnati Bengals

Jimmy Garoppolo struggled in a loss to the Seahawks last week, throwing for 299 yards, and a pair of touchdowns, but also two interceptions. Garoppolo has been an inconsistent fantasy asset, but he does have multiple touchdowns in four of his last five games.

This week, Garoppolo faces a Bengals defense that ranks 21st in aFPA to opposing quarterbacks. The Bengals just got lit up by Justin Herbert and lost their middle linebacker to a shoulder injury, so there’s upside in this matchup. Still, outside of deeper leagues and leagues where you can start two quarterbacks, he’s probably too risky to warrant serious QB1 consideration.

SF QB Jimmy Garoppolo - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Seattle Seahawks

Jimmy Garoppolo had 230 yards, a touchdown and a pick in a victory over the Vikings last week. He’s been quiet, but serviceable as a fantasy option this season with 13 touchdowns and six picks in 10 games. Those are definitely QB2 numbers and not every-week starter stats, but he’s at least been startable in a very inconsistent season at the quarterback position.

This week, Garoppolo faces a Seahawks defense that ranks 11th in aFPA to opposing quarterbacks. With a tough matchup and a likely ground-based attack, consider him a QB2 option once again. There should be better streaming options available in 1QB leagues.

SF QB Jimmy Garoppolo - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Minnesota Vikings

Jimmy Garoppolo had an efficient outing against the Jaguars, throwing for 176 yards and two touchdowns in a lopsided victory last week. Garoppolo’s yardage wasn’t high, but multiple touchdowns and no turnovers turned into a nice fantasy day for the popular streaming option.

This week, Garoppolo faces a Vikings defense that ranks 27th in aFPA to opposing quarterbacks. While he’s not typically someone you want in your lineups, this game looks like it may hit the over on points scored, so that should benefit both quarterbacks. He’s a solid streaming option if you’re desperate.

SF QB Jimmy Garoppolo - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Jacksonville Jaguars

Jimmy Garoppolo didn’t have to throw the ball much in a blowout victory over the Rams on Monday night, but he was an efficient 15 of 19 for 182 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

This week, Garoppolo faces a Jaguars defense that ranks 17th in aFPA to opposing quarterbacks and has been trending in a positive direction in recent weeks. He’s been a reasonably steady QB2 option in fantasy lately, and is worth considering in deeper formats that allow two quarterbacks in your lineup.

SF QB Jimmy Garoppolo - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Los Angeles Rams

Jimmy Garoppolo had a better fantasy day than regular football day last week, throwing for 326 yards, two touchdowns and a pick in a lopsided loss to the division-rival Cardinals. Garoppolo has two straight 300-plus yard performances and has had some streaming value in deeper leagues when healthy.

This week, he’ll face a Rams defense that ranks 11th in aFPA to opposing quarterbacks. With a less-than-stellar matchup and his general inconsistency, it’s hard to trust him. He has low-end QB2 potential with his recent passing yard totals, but in QB1 leagues, he should remain on waivers.
