IND TE Jelani Woods - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at New York Giants

Jelani Woods had three catches on five targets for 43 yards last week against the Chargers. Still, the Colts offense is terrible and there are still three tight ends vying for a limited number of quality targets. Keep him on the bench - or waivers- even against a Giants defense that ranks 25th in aFPA to opposing tight ends.

Week 15 at Minnesota Vikings

It’s hard to trust any of the Colts’ tight ends, and even though Jelani Woods is showing signs of separating himself from the pack, it’s hard to trust him. He had 98 yards two games ago, and then just two catches for 28 yards against the Cowboys before the bye last week. He has a pretty good matchup against the Vikings this week. Minnesota ranks 24th in aFPA to opposing tight ends. Still, he’s too risky to trust as part of a three-headed crop of tight ends in Indianapolis.

Week 13 at Dallas Cowboys

Jelani Woods led the team with eight catches and 98 yards last week and seemed to be a comfortable target for quarterback Matt Ryan. He’s an interesting speculative addition to fantasy rosters for the rest of the season, but isn’t worth having in lineups this week. The Cowboys rank 12th in aFPA to opposing tight ends, and this tight end room is still a bit too crowded to bank on any one of them thriving in any given week.
