Bengals RB Giovani Bernard (knee, out) missed practice all week and is out for Week 5. Joe Mixon (knee) took full practice reps on Friday after being limited earlier in the week. Mixon should return to a big workload, but there is some talk that he will be eased back into action. That’s going to be tough to do with Bernard out, but Mark Walton should be involved.

Giovani Bernard is out 2-4 weeks with an MCL sprain.

Fantasy Impact: 

Any hope of Bernard carving out more of a split than he saw before Joe Mixon injured his knee is now probably out the window. Already looking like a potential league-winner after scoring 25.9 points Week 1 and shouldering 23 touches Week 2 before he got hurt, Mixon's spot among the RB1s this week, and probably for the rest of the season, is now set in stone.

Bengals RB Joe Mixon (knee) took limited practice reps again Thursday. Mixon looks more likely to play this week than his backup, Giovani Bernard. He should return to a big workload.
