WAS WR DeAndre Carter - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Seattle Seahawks

DeAndre Carter scored in his third consecutive game, but he wasn't overly productive outside of that. He caught just one other pass for 18 yards and ran backward for three yards on a carry. He did play a season-high 75% of the offensive snaps, though, so Washington appears to be getting the playmaker more involved in the offense. Carter is an interesting player, but we'd like to see more production out of him before he becomes a reliable fantasy option. He should be viewed as a WR5 for Week 12 against the Seahawks.

WAS WR DeAndre Carter - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Carolina Panthers

DeAndre Carter has started to emerge as a legit fantasy option. He finished 3-51-1 in Week 8 ahead of Washington's bye, and followed it up with a 3-56-1 outing in Week 10. He's also utilized on the ground as he has four carries this season, and he provides a bonus in leagues that count return yards as he's Washington's punt and kick returner. Having said all of that, he's still someone with four games of zero receptions this season. And he gets a very tough Panthers matchup in Week 11. He's worth keeping an eye on, but he's nothing more than a desperation WR5 in Week 11.

WAS WR DeAndre Carter - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Kansas City Chiefs

DeAndre Carter proved he was more than just a return man last week as he saw a season-high targets, which he turned into a 4-62-0 stat line. He also had a carry for 11 yards. Carter is a fun player who can do it all — return, receive and run. But there hasn't been a consistent receiver behind Terry McLaurin in this Washington offense. It's been a mix of Adam Humphries, Dyami Brown and the oft-injured Curtis Samuel. If Samuel misses this week (groin, limited in practice) then Carter has some appeal in a good matchup, but he's still a risky option and only on the fantasy radar in deep leagues.

HOU WR DeAndre Carter - Week 18 Fantasy Football Outlook

Wild Card vs. Indianapolis Colts

With injuries to Demaryius Thomas and Keke Coutee, DeAndre Carter was the Texans No. 2 WR to close out the regular season. While he’s yet to find the end zone, in the past three weeks he’s been a decent contributor, averaging four receptions for 50 yards. Carter will continue to play second fiddle to the other DeAndre (Hopkins), so it’s advised to keep him off your playoff fantasy roster.
