Scouting report

CLE TE David Njoku - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. New York Jets

David Njoku continued his newfound connection with Joe Flacco. The tight end saw nine targets last week against the Texans and scored a touchdown for the third consecutive game. Even against good Jets defense, his momentum should carry over on a short week as one of the better tight ends options. He’s worth a spot in the lineup for the championship round.

CLE TE David Njoku - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at Houston Texans

David Njoku is turning into a league winner. In the last two weeks, Njoku has caught 16 passes for 195 yards and three touchdowns on 22 targets. Joe Flacco has found quite the friend in Njoku and so have his fantasy owners in recent weeks. No recent to think that connection can't continue. There's too much momentum here to ignore and the Texans are a favorable matchup, so ride Njoku into the fantasy final.

CLE TE David Njoku - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Chicago Bears

Joe Flacco took a liking to Amari Cooper in Week 15 but he really took a liking to David Njoku. Six catches, 91 yards and two touchdowns for Njoku against the Jaguars. He has reached 50 yards six times in nine games since Cleveland's Week 5 bye with at least six targets in every game since Week 6. He has become one of the steady options at a volatile position in fantasy. Njoku could very well be a league-winner this season.

CLE TE David Njoku - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

After a three-game stretch with 19 catches and averaging almost 60 yards, David Njoku dropped to just two catches for 17 yards last week against the Rams. In fact, it was a different tight end getting the glory this time as Harrison Bryant had 49 yards and a touchdown on five catches. The Jaguars are one of the better teams against opposing tight ends, but Joe Flacco should eventually look Njoku's way. He still brings some upside thanks to the volume he had been receiving, even if it was different quarterbacks.

CLE TE David Njoku - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Los Angeles Rams

David Njoku has been pretty consistent over the past few weeks and consistently good at that. At least 50 yards in each of his last three games with 19 total catches on 33 targets. The Browns could be starting Joe Flacco this week and we've seen where Flacco is at this point of his career. Having a reliable target like Njoku should at least give Flacco a chance to move the football. Njoku has some upside against this week as the Rams have been pretty favorable against opposing tight ends this season.

CLE TE David Njoku - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Denver Broncos

David Njoku saw a whopping 15 targets last week against the Steelers. He has now seen 22 targets in two games with Dorian Thompson-Robinson as the starter. A nice connection has brewed already between the two and this week should provide another nice opportunity for the two to hook up. Denver is allowing the most fantasy points to tight ends this season. Njoku has some sleeper potential this week.

CLE TE David Njoku - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

With Dorian Thompson-Robinson now the starter following the loss of Deshaun Watson, David Njoku could be the safety blanket again for the rookie. In Week 4, DTR's lone start thus far, Njoku saw seven targets and caught six passes for 46 yards. Overall, Njoku has reached 50 yards in three of the last four games. Njoku has some intriguing streaming potential this week, even with a quarterback making only his second start.
