Scouting report

LAR RB Darrell Henderson - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at Minnesota Vikings

Henderson showed obvious rust Week 15 and will have to show Week 16 that more work is in his immediate future. It would not be surprising to see Sean McVay continue to ease Henderson into his usual workload with the playoffs around the corner. Playing Henderson is a risk but with COVID-19 and injuries plaguing backs across the league, he is in flex consideration until he booms.

LAR RB Darrell Henderson - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 versus Seattle Seahawks

Henderson can play Week 15 as long as he produces two negative COVID tests on consecutive days. Monitor his status.

LAR RB Darrell Henderson - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at Arizona Cardinals

UPDATE: Darrell Henderson (COVID-19) will miss Week 14's game against the Arizona Cardinals.

If you played Henderson Week 13, you get a virtual pat on the back. The good news is he was active and should at least see a split workload in Week 14. That puts a cap on his ceiling against Arizona’s run-funnel defense, but considering his quad injury was enough to keep him on the sidelines Week 13, something is better than nothing. Henderson plays Monday night, so at best he is a flex option unless he logs multiple full practices.

LAR RB Darrell Henderson - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 versus Jacksonville Jaguars

Henderson avoided another down game in Week 12 by finding the endzone. He has been a floor play in three of the past five games and will have to try to score on a top 10 rush defense according to aFPA. Jacksonville allowed their most rushing yards on the season in Week 12 because Cordarrelle Patterson is one of the more versatile backs in the league. Henderson is not Patterson, and a floor game is expected more than a ceiling game in Week 13. You are not benching Henderson because of the offense he is attached to, but you are crossing your fingers hoping he can get over the 55-yard hump for the first time since Week 8.

LAR RB Darrell Henderson - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Green Bay Packers

Henderson has three single-digit fantasy performances in all formats in his past four games and will face a rush defense that allows 109 total yards to the position per game. The bye week will help in planning against one of the better defenses in the league, but Henderson will have to scratch and claw his way to an RB2 output Week 12, especially with Sony Michel able to absorb hits in between the tackles behind him.

LAR RB Darrell Henderson - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at San Francisco 49ers

The level of Henderson’s ankle injury makes or breaks his workload Week 10 at San Francisco. He saw 14 touches despite missing part of Week 9 with the injury. Despite the negative game script, Henderson will have a role in this offense so long as his ankle is good enough. He has until Monday night to get treatment.

LAR RB Darrell Henderson - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 versus Tennessee Titans

Henderson bounced back in a big way in the Rams’ blowout of the Houston Texans. He gets a chance to sneak his way further into our fantasy football hearts when the Titans visit L.A. The Titans are awful against receivers and middle-of-the-road against running backs. With so much attention being given to Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods, Henderson could easily run wild and contribute to the passing attack. Tennessee has only allowed one 100-yard rusher in part because they are so bad against the pass and relied on Derrick Henry to dominate games prior to the injury. Henderson is a locked-in RB1 Week 9.
