Scouting report

DET WR Danny Amendola - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Minnesota Vikings
With Kenny Golladay out Sunday at Minnesota, Danny Amendola will likely see an increase in targets from Matthew Stafford. So far this season he has only 18 grabs and no TDs but is averaging 46 yards per contest. If you're in need of a spot starter, Amendola could make for a sneaky start against the league's third-worst pass defense.

DET WR Danny Amendola - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at Arizona Cardinals
After leading Detroit in receiving yards Week 1, Danny Amendola led the team in targets (seven) last week. In the loss to the Packers he collected only two receptions for 21 yards, despite the Lions playing from behind the entire second half and Matthew Stafford calling several pass plays. If Kenny Golladay is healthy on Sunday that will help spread out the Cardinals defense but will also likely mean fewer looks for Amendola. He should only be started if you’re out of other options.

DET WR Danny Amendola - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at Green Bay Packers
Matthew Stafford came Danny Amendola’s way seven times in the opener versus the Bears, leading to five grabs for a team-leading 81 yards. Top WR Kenny Golladay missed the contest but could be back on Sunday. Out of the slot Amendola is a vital part of the Lions passing attack, although he makes a risky fantasy play with plenty of other options for Stafford, especially when Golladay is healthy.

DET WR Danny Amendola - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 – Danny Amendola vs. Chicago Bears
In his first season with the Lions Danny Amendola registered 62 grabs for 678 yards but scored just once – in Week 1. With Matthew Stafford back under center, the slot WR should continue to be an important part of the offense. However, Kenny Golladay and Marvin Jones will likely see the majority of the WR looks, making Amendola at most a WR3 play.

DET WR Danny Amendola - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. Green Bay Packers
David Blough completed only 12 passes at Denver last week with Danny Amendola recording two catches for 21 yards. Despite 60 receptions and three 100-yard games in ’19 Amendola hasn’t been in the end zone since the season opener. In the Week 6 loss to the Packers, he finished with just a six-yard reception. Blough will remain the QB for the finale making Amendola at best a WR3/flex start.

DET WR Danny Amendola - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at Denver Broncos
With Marvin Jones on IR, Danny Amendola received 13 looks from David Blough last week. In the loss to the Bucs, he led the team with eight receptions and 102 yards – his third 100-yard game of ‘19. While Amendola still hasn’t found the end zone since Week 1, with the loss of Jones, he has quickly emerged as a viable fantasy option. Facing the No. 11 Broncos pass defense on the road Amendola should be considered a WR3/flex play.

DET WR Danny Amendola - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
With the Lions struggling to move the ball against the Vikings last week Danny Amendola caught five passes for 34 yards. While the five grabs were his highest total since the end of October, he has failed to reach 50 yards the past six outings. Tampa Bay has had all sorts of trouble versus the pass and Amendola should see more looks now that Marvin Jones has been placed on IR. With David Blough at QB, consider him a WR3/flex start at best.
