DEN K Connor Barth - 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside
With Brandon McManus struggling during the middle part of last season, Connor Barth was signed by the Broncos and did a superb job. In the final five regular season games, Barth was 15-of-16 on FG attempts, including two games in which he made five FGs. In Denver’s explosive offense, he averaged 12 points per contest. He has connected on over 85 percent of his field goal attempts during his career. Connor was four-of-five from 44+ in ’14 and is 13-for-20 lifetime from beyond 50.

Fantasy Downside
Barth doesn’t have one of the strongest kicking legs in the league. His longest FG last season was 50 yards and in his career he’s just 77 percent (53-69) from beyond 40 yards.

Bottom Line
The Broncos offense scored 56 TDs last season and attempted 29 field goals. The team will continue to be one of the top point scorers in the NFL. Connor should get plenty of scoring chances each week and is listed as a top-five fantasy kicker.

DEN K Connor Barth - Week 19, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Divisional Round – Connor Barth vs. Indianapolis Colts
Since joining the team in Week 13, Connor Barth was 15-of-16 on FG attempts and totaled 60 points in only five games. Expect the Denver offense to keep putting points on the board, especially at home. If you think the Broncos can make it to the Super Bowl, Barth should have plenty of scoring chances along the way.

DEN K Connor Barth - Week 17, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 – Connor Barth vs. Oakland Raiders
After connecting on his first 11 attempts as a Bronco, Connor Barth was wide left from 49 yards out just before halftime in Cincinnati last Monday. He was used for just four extra points outside of that miss, as Denver was playing from behind for much of the night. Denver put up 41 points in early November at Oakland, so Barth should have some decent scoring chances in the rematch.

DEN K Connor Barth - Week 16, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 – Connor Barth vs. Cincinnati Bengals
For the second time in three games with the Broncos, Connor Barth booted five FGs and he’s already 11-of-11 on field goal attempts. After kicking three very short FGs, Connor booted 49 and 44 yarders in the fourth quarter to put the game away. With Denver concentrating on running the ball and playing good defense, look for Barth to have some good scoring chances on Monday night.

DEN K Connor Barth - Week 15, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 – Connor Barth vs. San Diego Chargers
Connor Barth booted a 50-yard FG in the home win over Buffalo last Sunday and totaled six points. Barth is a perfect 6-for-6 since joining the Broncos. In the October meeting with the Chargers, Denver put up 35 points, so look for him to have some scoring opportunities on the road.

DEN K Connor Barth - Week 14, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 – Connor Barth vs. Buffalo Bills
In his first game with the Broncos last Sunday at Kansas City, Connor Barth booted five field goals and totaled 17 points. His longest kick was from just 37 yards, as the Broncos offense stalled inside the red zone all night. Barth should again get plenty of scoring chances in his home debut this week, so if you picked him up, go ahead and start him.

DEN K Connor Barth - Week 13, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 – Connor Barth vs. Kansas City Chiefs
After Brian McManus was just 9-of-13 on FG attempts, including a 33-yard miss last Sunday, the Broncos have signed Connor Barth to take over the kicking duties. Barth missed all of 2013 with a torn Achilles tendon, but has been successful on 84 percent (101-of-120) attempts during his five year NFL career (the last four with the Buccaneers). Right away, look for the Denver coaching staff to have more confidence in him than they showed in McManus. If he hasn’t been picked up yet and you’re in need of a good kicker, go ahead and snag Barth and start him this week.
