HOU QB C.J. Stroud - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. Tennessee Titans

Welcome back, C.J. Stroud. Just in time for the fantasy championship game. Also in time for the Texans to make a push in the AFC South. Houston enters Week 17 tied with the Jaguars and Colts at 8-7. Stroud missed the first game against the Titans. Case Keenum threw for 229 yards and a touchdown in the Week 15 overtime win. Stroud can easily surpass those numbers. A healthy Stroud is a top fantasy option and one that can win a fantasy title this week.

HOU QB C.J. Stroud - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at New York Jets

C.J. Stroud's streak of 300-yard games came to an end last week but he still got to 274 with a touchdown. He did complete under 60% of his passes in the 22-17 win over the Broncos. But the story from the game was Stroud lost one of his key receivers as Tank Dell suffered a season-ending knee injury. So now it's Nico Collins and Noah Brown as his top outside options. Both are fine players, but losing the deep threat in Dell will sting a bit. Also, Stroud gets the Jets' defense this week, meaning his receivers get Sauce Gardner and D.J. Reed. Stroud isn't ranked as high this week as a result but can still be a fine starter.

HOU QB C.J. Stroud - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. Denver Broncos

Safe to say C.J. Stroud's rookie wall was very short-lived. Stroud now has four straight games with at least 300 yards, including his 470-yard showing in Week 9 against the Buccaneers. This week brings almost a playoff atmosphere for Stroud and the Texans as they face a Broncos team that has won five straight and with both teams sitting at 6-5, they are tied with the Colts for the final playoff spot. Stroud has big in big games before, so the stage won't hurt him. Roll with him this week as he looks to continue his hot streak.

HOU QB C.J. Stroud - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

It has been a joy to watch C.J. Stroud this season. This week may be arguably his biggest game to date. The Texans host the Jaguars and have a chance to take over first place in the AFC South with a sweep of the Jaguars. Stroud is the biggest reason for that and has been a huge fantasy joy as well. Sure, he had three interceptions last week, but still three for 336 yards and completed 73% of his passes. Stroud is on fire and is a top-5 option this week.

HOU QB C.J. Stroud - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Arizona Cardinals

How fun has C.J. Stroud been this season and how nice is it that the Texans are fun again as well? Stroud is having one of the best seasons we've ever seen from a rookie quarterback. Forget Rookie of the Year, Stroud is in the MVP conversation. His excellent season should continue this week as he faces the team with the second-worst team in defensive DVOA, the Arizona Cardinals. He also will likely get Nico Collins back, giving him Collins, Tank Dell, and Noah Brown to throw to. Ride this magical wave as long as it will roll, which feels like it will be quite a while.

HOU QB C.J. Stroud - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Cincinnati Bengals

We knew we were starting to see some really good stuff from C.J. Stroud but last Sunday
brought it to a whole new level. Stroud set a rookie record with 470 passing yards and threw five touchdown passes, including the incredible game-winning score, against the Buccaneers. And he did so while completing over 70% of his passes and again did not throw an interception. He now has 14 touchdown passes to just one interception. The Bengals do present a much taller task than the Buccaneers but Stroud is just playing so well right now that it's hard to bench him, especially after last week.

HOU QB C.J. Stroud - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

C.J. Stroud has posted two straight weeks with under 200 yards passing and did not throw a touchdown pass against the Panthers. He did salvage a fantasy day with a rushing touchdown. The good thing is he continues to take care of the football, only having the one interception this season. The Buccaneers should be a better matchup for Stroud and his two 300-yard days both came at home. Stroud is worth a look as a starting quarterback this week.
