PHI RB Boston Scott - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. New York Giants
Boston Scott had double-digit touches Week 1 but has not been close since. In fact, he has only 10 touches in the past four games. That will change this week as he takes over as the Eagles No. 1 running back with Miles Sanders sidelined with an injury.

Scott will face the Giants on Thursday. The G-Men are ranked 20th in aFPA to running backs. We expect him to get a similar workload as Sanders and is capable of helping your fantasy team.

Start Scott as an RB2 against New York. The Eagles love using their running backs in the passing game so expect around 15-18 touches for Scott. Has some more value in PPR leagues.

PHI RB Boston Scott - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs. Cincinnati
Boston Scott's usage has been a little less than we anticpated but that might be because the Eagles offense is struggling. Although Miles Sanders will get the bulk of the work, Scott still has only averaged 9 touches through the first two game and that includes Week 1 when Sanders didn't play.

The Eagles face the Bengals who are ranked 27th in aFPA to running backs. This would be a good week to get the offense on track and get Scott involved.

Scott does have some value in PPR leagues because the Eagles love to throw to their running backs and that's a role we expected him to be successful at in the Philly offense. Start him as a low-end RB3 or Flex in the PPR format, but keep him on the bench in standard leagues.

PHI RB Boston Scott - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs Los Angeles Rams
We thought Boston Scott would benefit from Miles Sanders sitting out, but he ended up with only 11 touches for 54 yards. The Eagles offense looked loss in the second half and Scott's numbers ended up being disappointed in the loss to Washington.

Scott will face the Rams who are 13th in aFPA to running backs. With Sanders coming back, Scott will probably lose some of those touches. Don't expect much from him. Keep him on the bench for Week 2.

PHI RB Boston Scott - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 at Washington
Boston Scott has solidified himself as the backup running back to Miles Sanders. The Eagles have confidence in him which was proven when they didn't draft or sign a free agent running back to compete with him.

Scott and the Eagles have a great matchup against a Washington team that was ranked 30th in aFPA to running backs. Scott will get touches in this game so expect him to put be a factor. He ranks as an RB3 or Flex in PPR leagues, but is just on the outside looking in for standard leagues.

PHI RB Boston Scott - 2020 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside
Boston Scott found himself a home in Philadelphia. The 2018 sixth-round draft pick by the Saints spent that season on the practice squad and the Eagles picked him up in December of 2018. He had 85 touches for Philly in 2019 and that number should go up as he is entrenched as Miles Sanders backup. The Eagles lost Darren Sproles (retirement) and Jordan Howard (Miami) and did not make any major acquisitions at the position which is a sign of confidence in Scott to handle the job.

Fantasy Downside
Scott's size is something he has been fighting his whole football career. However, Sproles was a similar size and type of player. There is still a chance the Eagles could bring in a veteran back to be the primary backup to Sanders and Scott would slip down to the role that Sproles brought to the table for Philadelphia.

2020 Bottom LIne
Scott is in a good position right now to be depth on your fantasy roster. He currently has an ADP of 50, but his value is higher than that, especially in a PPR league. Scott is going anywhere from the 13th to the 16th round so if you can get him in 13 or 14, he offers good value. Of course, if the Eagles pick up a veteran running back, his value will dip significantly.

PHI RB Boston Scott - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs Dallas
Boston Scott has made his impact since getting snaps and that impact has been in the passing game. He had seven reception last week and 13 touches overall. Scott will be a factor in the game this Sunday.

Dallas is up next and is a respectable 10th in aFPA to running backs. Even though Scott is getting snaps and especially third-down opportunities, he will probably not have enough numbers to consider as a starting back this week. Keep Scott on the bench for Week 16.
