Previously shaky in clutch situations, Billy Cundiff nailed his second game-winning kick of the season last weekend in the Deep South metropolis of Atlanta. It capped a huge game for Cundiff, who connected on four field goals and two extra points. The impressive performance is a further sign Cundiff is not the fantasy disaster he was last year, largely because Cleveland is in playoff contention, but owners should not be trusting Cundiff during this critical time of year.

The Browns dominated the Bengals 24-3 in front of a national television audience in Week 10, but it was not a banner night for Billy Cundiff. While he made a field goal and three extra points, he also missed a field goal attempt. Although the Browns have finally given Cleveland fans something to smile about outside of the homecoming of LeBron James, their conservative offense has not given Cundiff a tremendous amount of value. There is no need to pick him out of the crowd that exists in your league’s free agent pool.

Unfortunately for Cundiff and the rest of the Cleveland roster, the Bengals are going to be much tougher to conquer. There are lots of other kickers out there who will give you a greater chance at enjoying success.

Week 9 – Billy Cundiff vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Billy Cundiff put up strong numbers in week eight, kicking three field goals, including a 52-yard try, and two extra points as Cleveland downed Oakland 23-13 and redeemed themselves after a humiliating loss to Jacksonville. Although the Browns have a way of looking bad when they should look good, they will probably find a way to put up some points against the Bucs. Nevertheless, betting on Billy is not your best course of action.
