Scouting report

by Andy Rioux

KC WR A.J. Jenkins - Week 11, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 – A.J. Jenkins vs. Seattle Seahawks
With one reception on Sunday, A.J. Jenkins maintained his season average, as Jenkins now has nine catches in nine games. It would be utterly pointless to give Jenkins a moment of thought if you are looking to boost the talent level on your squad.

KC WR A.J. Jenkins - Week 10, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 – A.J. Jenkins at Buffalo Bills
In eight games, A.J. Jenkins has eight receptions for 66 yards. The players gonna play, play, play, play, play, and the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, and Jenkins is gonna stink, stink, stink, stink, stink.

KC WR A.J. Jenkins - Week 9, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 – A.J. Jenkins vs. New York Jets
A.J. Jenkins pitched a shutout last weekend and has seven receptions in seven games. You don't need to be a mathematical genius to know that equates to one reception a game. And you don't need to be a fantasy football genius to know Jenkins won't do a darn thing to help you take a trip to the winner's circle.

KC WR A.J. Jenkins - Week 8, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 – A.J. Jenkins vs. St. Louis Rams
A.J. Jenkins caught two passes for 37 yards in week seven. One of his receptions could have gone for big yards, but in typical fashion, A.J. failed to properly notice the sideline and stepped out of bounds. At least he showed his old school skills in a new school setting. Whatever fantasy school you attend, you deserve to be expelled if you add A.J. to your roster.

KC WR A.J. Jenkins - Week 7, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 – A.J. Jenkins at San Diego Chargers
A.J. Jenkins is earning extra playing time with Donnie Avery out. Not surprisingly, the extra playing time has not boosted the numbers of this draft bust. Our last vantage point of Jenkins saw him finish with one reception for three yards against San Francisco. It was a game Jenkins should have been motivated for, as the 49ers gave up on him. But all the motivation in the world does not matter when limited talent comes into play. Fantasy owners need to remain motivated to keep Jenkins off their team.

KC WR A.J. Jenkins - Week 5, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 – A.J. Jenkins at San Francisco 49ers
Alex Smith won’t be the only Kansas City player who will be returning to the Bay Area this weekend. A.J. Jenkins, a draft bust the 49ers pawned off on the Chiefs, is also going to get an opportunity to show his old team what they’ve been missing. And they haven’t been missing much, as Jenkins has totaled four catches for 16 yards so far in 2014. While Jenkins will have a larger role with Donnie Avery sidelined, you don’t need him in close proximity to your locker room.

KC WR A.J. Jenkins - Week 1, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 – A.J. Jenkins vs. Tennessee Titans
Every Kansas City receiver is going to attract a little more attention this week with Dwayne Bowe serving a one-game suspension, but that doesn’t mean they are going to justify the attention. Especially A.J. Jenkins, a former San Francisco draft bust who has done nothing since coming to the Chiefs. The nothing trend marches on against Tennessee and staying away from A.J. remains the best course of action for fantasy owners.
