Redskins RB Derrius Guice (knee) missed practice again Thursday. Guice is going to be out 6-8 weeks after having surgery to repair his meniscus. That means Adrian Peterson should be back in his lead back role that led to fantasy RB2 numbers last year. Chris Thompson had the No. 11 per game average (PPR) at his position in 2017, turning 10.3 touches per game into 80.4 total yards and 0.60 touchdowns per game. He scored 14+ in Week 1 and is fully healthy now.

That means Adrian Peterson should be back in his lead back role that led to fantasy RB2 numbers last year. The tweet went on to say Guice and the team are hoping he misses only a "few weeks," but they are still waiting for clarity from tests, according to Fowler. Peterson will be active this week after riding the bench last week. He should see early down work with Thompson playing in passing situations.

Sources: Redskins RB Derrius Guice had an MRI this morning on the other, non-ACL knee and he’s likely to miss some time.

Fantasy Impact: 

Rapoport went on to say the hope is Guice does not need surgery, but the team is doing a full evaluation and no timetable was given. He gained 18 yards on 10 carries and looking like he wasn’t himself, Rapoport added. The team will now turn to Peterson, who was a mysterious scratch in Week 1 against the Eagles.
