Dez Bryant appeared to lay the ground work for his best pro season with an outstanding training camp.

For that to happen he must overcome a slow start.

The Cowboys receiver has caught seven passes for 102 yards and fails to rank among the NFL’s top 50 players in either of those categories. He has just four receptions in his last six quarters.

Seattle’s big, physical corners gave Bryant fits, holding him to three receptions for 17 yards in the Cowboys loss. He was targeted seven times.

“I thought at times he did a good job,’’ head coach Jason Garrett said. “Other times, he didn’t win on enough routes.

Chargers QB Justin Herbert suffered a broken bone in his left hand during Sunday’s game against the Raiders, head coach Jim Harbaugh said after the game.

Fantasy Impact:

Herbert will undergo surgery on Monday and it is unclear at this point how much time he will miss. Consider him questionable at best for next Monday against the Eagles. If Herbert can’t go, it would be Trey Lance getting the start. Herbert barely missed any action Sunday — Lance threw one pass — completing 15 of 20 passes for 151 yards with two touchdowns and one interception.

Colts TE Tyler Warren was added to the injury report Saturday with an illness and is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Texans.

Fantasy Impact:

The Colts play in the early window, so we’ll know by about 11:30 if Warren is playing. But more often than not, we see players still play, even as a late add like this with an illness. Be sure to check the inactives just to be sure.
