Doctors believe Giants RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. is expected to be sidelined two to four weeks due to the dislocated shoulder injury he suffered Sunday night vs. Kansas City, per sources.

We reported this news Monday with the expectation Tracy was going to miss some time. Looks like Skattebo is poised to have a much bigger role with Tracy out. Skattebo led the team in rushing yards and was a check-down option, leading the team in receptions and receiving yards as well against the Chiefs.

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy will continue to practice this week and could play Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars, coach Kyle Shanahan said Monday. Purdy’s status will remain up in the air as the team evaluates him in practice starting Wednesday.

“We’ll see on Wednesday how much he is able to do,” Shanahan said.

Jones, meanwhile, is day-to-day with a knee injury that bugged him but did not keep him out of Sunday’s win over the Arizona Cardinals, the story went on to say. Purdy practiced in a limited capacity last week, and both Purdy and Shanahan were pleased with his progress. The team left the door open for Purdy to serve as the backup against the Cardinals, but he was inactive, the story said.

The Panthers got their first win of the season on Sunday, but they also reportedly lost tight end Ja’Tavion Sanders for a while.

Sanders injured his ankle during the fourth quarter of Carolina’s 30-0 win over the Falcons. Joseph Person of TheAthletic.com reports that tests showed Sanders suffered a high-ankle sprain and is set to miss multiple weeks as a result.
