Week 17 vs. Detroit Lions
Dak Prescott didn't have the greatest fantasy game in Week 16 against the Dolphins, finishing as the QB14 on the back of his 253 yards and two touchdowns. Prescott has multiple passing scores in eight of his last nine games but hasn't cracked 300 yards in any of his last four.
Prescott should be viewed as a high-end QB1 option in Week 17, with the Cowboys taking on a Lions team that ranks 31st in aFPA to quarterbacks in 2023.
Week 16 at Miami Dolphins
The Bills demolition of the Cowboys in Week 15 left Dak Prescott with little chance to make any fantasy noise. Prescott amassed just 134 passing yards and a mere 6.1 fantasy points on his way to the QB32 in Fantasy Quarter Final week.
The Cowboys, not to mention Prescott's fantasy managers, will need much more from him this week against the Dolphins. Vic Fangio's charges rank 16th in aFPA to quarterbacks this season, but given his deeds throughout the season we should expect a QB1 showing from Prescott in Week 16.
Week 15 at Buffalo Bills
Dak Prescott put in a steady if unspectacular performance against the Eagles in Week 14. Prescott racked up 271 yards and two touchdowns on his way to 17.9 fantasy points, finishing as QB13 for the week. While not disastrous, it was some way below his QB3 average in points per game this season.
Prescott should be able to return to his expected output against the Bills in Week 15. The Bills rank 24th in aFPA to quarterbacks this season, which in concert with their improving offense could make for a shootout between Prescott and Josh Allen this week. Prescott can be projected for high-end QB1 production in Week 15.
Week 14 vs. Philadelphia Eagles
Dak Prescott once again delivered the fantasy goods in Week 13, finishing as the QB3 thanks to his 299 yards and three passing scores against the Seahawks. Prescott is the QB3 in average points per game this season.
The good times should continue to roll in Week 14, with an Eagles team ranking 31st in aFPA to quarterbacks heading into Dallas. Prescott should be among the very top performers at the quarterback spot this week.
Week 13 vs. Seattle Seahawks
Dak Prescott carved the Commanders up like a turkey on Thanksgiving, racking up 331 yards and four touchdowns on his way to 32.2 fantasy points, the third most of any quarterback in Week 13. Prescott is now the QB3 in average points per game this season.
Prescott should be able to keep the good times rolling against a Seahawks team that ranks 16th in aFPA to quarterbacks this season. He should be viewed as a high-end QB1 this week and for the rest of the season.
Week 12 vs Washington Commanders
It was a quiet week for Dak Prescott against the Panthers last week, as he finished with 189 yards and two touchdowns on his way to 16.2 fantasy points, good for QB15 for Week 11. Given his recent form, this was a down game, but he remains the QB6 in fantasy points per game.
The good times should get going again on Thanksgiving with a clash against the friendly Commanders. No team is allowing more aFPA to quarterbacks than the Commanders this season. Dak is an elite option this week, with overall QB1 within his reasonable range of outcomes.
Week 11 at Carolina Panthers
Dak Prescott's run of red-hot fantasy performances continued against the Giants in Week 10, with Prescott amassing 37.9 fantasy points on his way to the overall QB1 for the week. Prescott's torrid form has seen him rise all the way up to QB4 in fantasy points per game.
Prescott should still be able to deliver top 12 numbers in Week 11, despite a matchup that doesn't look that rich on paper. The seemingly hapless Panthers rank second in aFPA to quarterbacks this season, and are much more generous to running backs. But the Cowboys have been a lot more pass-happy of late, so Prescott should continue to see enough work to reward his fantasy managers.
Week 10 vs. New York Giants
Dak Prescott has been on a fantasy tear in the last few weeks. He scored 28.4 fantasy points in Week 9, the second most of any quarterback last week, and his average points per game is now up to 17.5. This is good for QB13 this season.
On paper, the New York Giants have been quite stiff opposition for fantasy quarterbacks this season, ranking eighth in aFPA to the position. But the team is circling the drain, and given his hot recent form we shouldn't discount Prescott's fantasy appeal this week. Look to him for solid mid-level QB1 numbers in Week 10.
Week 9 at Philadelphia Eagles
Dak Prescott has emerged as something of a fantasy stud over the last two Cowboys games, averaging 26.5 fantasy points in each. He managed 28.1 against the Rams, thanks largely to Prescott’s first 300-yard game of the season, as well as four touchdown passes.
Prescott is in a sweet spot in his bid to continue his return to fantasy relevance in Week 9 in an NFC East shootout with the Eagles, who have bled fantasy points to quarterbacks so far this year. The Eagles rank dead last in aFPA to the position, keeping Prescott firmly in the QB1 conversation this week.
Week 8 vs. Los Angeles Rams
The Cowboys are 4-2 but have managed to achieve this lofty rank without any players really achieving fantasy superstardom so far in 2023. This is especially true of Dak Prescott, who sits at QB21 in fantasy points per game this season.
He might be able to make some fantasy noise in Week 8 against the Rams, who rank 21st in aFPA to quarterbacks this season. It's possible Prescott could flirt with low-end QB1 numbers in Week 8, building on his overall QB1 showing in Week 6.
