Week 15 vs. Carolina
Cole Beasley had 11 targets which produced nine catches for 64 yards. The pass-happy Bills threw the ball 54 times last week so PPR owners should be the beneficiaries of Beasley getting points based on the receptions alone. In the previous four games, however, he had a combined 15 targets.
Beasley faces the Panthers who are 18th in aFPA to wide receivers. We don't expect 54 passes again from QB Josh Allen so this could limit Beasley's production overall. Keep him on the bench for Week 15 although he might have some low-end value in full-point PPR formats.
Week 14 at Tampa Bay
Cole Beasley had only one catch for 13 yards last Monday but the weather definitely wreaked havoc with the passing game. Last week aside, Beasley is capable of a big game any week but also has games where is not effective. His value is still higher in PPR leagues.
Keep Beasley on the bench against the Buccaneers who are ranked 9th in aFPA to wide receivers. Numbers have been too erratic and with an unfavorable matchup, there are better options.
Week 13 vs. New England
Cole Beasley's numbers have been pretty weak the past three weeks as Buffalo's offense has had ups and downs over that time period. It seems strange because Beasley has been a target machine for the Bills the past couple of seasons.
It will be a tough matchup for the Bills receivers as the Patriots are ranked sixth in aFPA to wide receivers. Until we see Beasley get more attention from QB Josh Allen, he should remain on the bench including Monday night.
Week 12 at New Orleans
Cole Beasley has been cold the past three games with only 71 receiving yards. He has had 14 receptions over that span but zero touchdowns. So in PPR leagues, he still has had some value despite the poor outings.
Beasley has a good matchup this Thursday against the Saints who are ranked 30th in aFPA to wide receivers. But because of the recent slump, we think he should remain on the bench for Week 12, even in PPR formats.
Week 10 at New York Jets
Cole Beasley has been the most targeted Buffalo receiver in the last three games with 33 that has produced 8+ catches per game and 77 yards per game although the yardage numbers were brought down by last week's 33 receiving yards number.
Beasley will always have a higher PPR rating because he does get the targets and more catches. The yardage and touchdowns are where he has some flaws in certain weeks.
Beasley has value against New York in a neutral matchup against the Jets secondary. He had one big game last season against them so we should continue to see similar numbers. Beasley still only ranks a WR3 or flex for Week 10, but on the higher end in PPR leagues.
Week 9 at Jacksonville
Cole Beasley had his best game of the season with 13 targets that produced 10 receptions for 110 yards. He didn't get into the end zone but he did reward fantasy owners, especially in PPR leagues, who played him. Bills receivers have been hard to gauge sometimes. They will have games like this and other games disappear. (See Emmanuel Sanders last week. 0 catches)
Beasley faces the Jaguars who are ranked 21st in aFPA to wide receivers. This is a favorable matchup but don't put too much into last week's performance. Beasley ranks where has most of the season - a WR3 or flex for Week 9 against Jacksonville.
Week 8 vs. Miami
Cole Beasley had his best game in several weeks against Tennessee before the bye week. He caught seven passes for 98 yards and a touchdown - his first of the season. However, it will probably continue to be hit or miss with him as he clearly is the No. 3 receiver in the pecking order. He has minimal value in standard leagues but still is useful in PPR leagues.
He had four catches for 36 yards in the first meeting this season with Miami. Even though it's a good matchup after the bye week at home for Beasley, we recommend keeping him on the bench for Week 8.
Week 6 at Tennessee
After double-digit targets two of the first three games, Cole Beasley has four in the past two games that have produced just three receptions for 21 yards. This doesn't mean he is out of the picture, but it means he is clearly fourth or maybe even fifth in the pecking order of where QB Josh Allen is looking.
His fantasy stock has taken a dip after it rose early in the season. He still gives good depth and we could see his numbers go back up, but for Week 6 keep him on the bench against Tennessee despite a very good matchup against a bad Titans pass defense.
Week 5 at Kansas City
Cole Beasley only had two targets last week for two catches. It was disappointing considering he had 11 targets the week before. Unlike the other Buffalo receivers, Beasley has been all over the place with his use and production which makes him a little more unreliable in fantasy.
Beasley has a great matchup against the Chiefs who are ranked 28th in aFPA. However, it's hard to say what we will see from him week-to-week.
Keep Beasley on the bench in standard leagues and even PPR leagues he is a reach for Week 5.
Week 4 vs. Houston
Cole Beasley for the second time this season led the Bills in targets with 13. It produced his best numbers with 11 receptions for 98 yards, also team-highs last Sunday. The only downside is Beasley is looking for his first touchdown, but he is killing it in PPR leagues.
Beasley faces an average Houston pass defense at home. We expect similar success for the Buffalo passing game. Although Beasley has been putting up great numbers, it might be hit (Week 1 and Week 3) or miss (Week 2). Start him for Week 4 as a solid WR3 or Flex as he might get 13 targets but 8 to 10 should be the norm.
