Scouting report

MIA RB Raheem Mostert - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at Baltimore Ravens

Last week Raheem Mostert ran 11 times for 46 yards and also caught a 4-yard touchdown. Mostert is almost a guaranteed touchdown machine, scoring in 12 of his 15 games this season. He gets a revenge game this week against the Ravens who are a tough matchup as they are 1st in aFPA to RBs. Mostert may have a tough time scoring this week as the Ravens have only given up six total touchdowns to the position, tied for the second-fewest in the league. It's not a great matchup, but Mostert has been too productive this year to leave him out of your lineups. He's still a low-end RB1 option for Week 17.

MIA RB Raheem Mostert - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs. Dallas Cowboys

Raheem Mostert continued his dominant season last week as he ran 15 times for 42 yards with two touchdowns. He now has 20 touchdowns on the season, which is a Dolphins franchise record. He's also scored two touchdowns in three of his last four games. This week Mostert gets an OK matchup vs. the Cowboys (16th aFPA) where he'll likely continue to split touches with rookie De'Von Achane. But the Dolphins like Mostert near the goal line, so he remains a strong bet to score a touchdown. He'll be a strong RB1 option in Week 16.

MIA RB Raheem Mostert - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. New York Jets

Despite De'Von Achane returning, the Dolphins still leaned heavily on Raheem Mostert last week. He ran 21 times for 96 yards and scored two touchdowns. He also caught one pass for four yards. Mostert played on 64% of the offensive snaps, and proved that he and Achane can both succeed at the same time. Mostert should keep up his high level of production this week against the Jets (28th aFPA). He played well against them just a few weeks ago with 94 yards and two touchdowns. He should be viewed as a solid RB1 option for Week 15.

MIA RB Raheem Mostert - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Tennessee Titans

Raheem Mostert was fine last week as he ran 11 times for 43 yards with a touchdown while also catching one pass for eight yards. Mostert pretty much disappeared at halftime as the Dolphins' score got out of hand, resulting in him playing a season-low 38% of the offensive snaps. In his place was rookie sensation De'Von Achane who had a 100-yard game. While it's easy to see Achane go off last week and assume he's the new lead back, we'd still expect this backfield to split touches. Mostert's lack of usage was more due to the game script than anything else. Mostert should still be viewed as a solid RB1 option in Week 14 vs. the Titans (16th aFPA).

MIA RB Raheem Mostert - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Washington Commanders

Raheem Mostert had another monster game last week, rushing 20 times for 94 yards with two touchdowns. Although he had no catches out of the backfield. Mostert handled most of the backfield touches with De'Von Achane out again. Achane has a chance to return to this week, so the health of Miami's backfield will be worth monitoring. Mostert himself was a DNP on Wednesday with a ankle/knee injury. If Achane is out again, then Mostert will be another strong RB1 option this week in a favorable matchup vs. the Commanders (29th aFPA). But even if Achane returns, Mostert has been very productive this year and will still be someone you want in your lineup.

MIA RB Raheem Mostert - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at New York Jets

Raheem Mostert remained in full control of Miami's backfield last week as both Salvon Ahmed and De'Von Achane left the game early due to injuries. As a result, Mostert ran 22 times for 86 yards and caught one pass for seven yards. Although he failed to score a touchdown for just the third time in a game this season. Achane is questionable this week, which means Mostert will could get a lighter work load. Although we've seen both backs have success at the same time in this backfield. Mostert gets a favorable matchup this week against the Jets who are 30th in aFPA to RBs. Teams tend to run a lot on the Jets as they've given up the 4th-most total rush attempts to running backs this season. Mostert should be viewed as a strong RB2 play if Achane plays, and bumps up to RB1 territory if Achane is out.

MIA RB Raheem Mostert - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Las Vegas Raiders

Raheem Mostert had a solid outing in Week 9, rushing 12 times for 85 yards with a touchdown. But the backfield will be changing coming out of the bye week as De'Von Achane is expected back from injury. Achane and Mostert showed they were each able to be productive earlier in the season, but it was a small sample size of three games. And in one of those games, Mostert finished with just 9 yards on the ground. Still, until we see something different, it feels safe to assume both backs are going to be productive moving forward. Especially in a favorable Week 11 matchup vs. the Raiders (27th aFPA). Mostert should be viewed as a strong RB2 option this week.
