Week 2 DraftKings & FanDuel Showdown Strategy: Sunday Night NFL DFS for Falcons at Vikings
Perhaps the most shocking thing about NFL Week 2 is that we will not see a Super Bowl rematch on Sunday Night Football. Instead, it is slotted for the premier afternoon game and will be followed by a matchup between the Atlanta Falcons and Minnesota Vikings to close out the day. That game will feature a battle between two young quarterbacks still in the process of proving themselves capable of being their respective franchise’s long-term solution at the position.
Penix had a favorable Week 1, nearly eclipsing 300 yards passing despite entering the game without his secondary pass catcher opposite Drake London, Darnell Mooney, before subsequently losing London to injury in the fourth quarter. Both receivers enter Sunday without injury designations.
On the other side, McCarthy struggled through three quarters, leading a dismal offensive showing for the Vikings prior to a remarkable comeback. They outscored the Bears 21–7 in the fourth quarter, leading to the Vikings’ first win of the season. McCarthy’s stat line was far from impressive, but the team got it done in the end.
