Week 1 DraftKings & FanDuel Showdown Plays: Thursday Night NFL DFS
We are so back. The 2024 NFL Season kicks off with a Thursday Night Football showdown between two of the AFC's most prolific teams and a rematch of the conference championship game a season ago as the Baltimore Ravens and the Kansas City Chiefs square off in Kansas City to ring in the NFL new year. Both teams enter the season with the highest of expectations, but the Chiefs are unsurprisingly favored by three points at home, albeit with a middling over/under. Let's dig into this from a single-game DFS perspective and look for some unique ways to attack the slate.

This chart represents the general offensive strategies for each team when the game outcome is still in question (win probability between 20% and 80%). The final two minutes of each half are also excluded. Teams in the upper-right quadrant pass more often and play faster than the average NFL team in neutral game scripts, and conversely, teams in the lower-left quadrant play slower and run more often than the average NFL team.
