NBA Player Prop Bets: Dennis Schroder Looks to Keep Pace with Indiana

November 17th NBA Player Prop Bets
Yesterday the official bets had a great night, going 3-1, and our only loss being Lauri Markkanen getting steamrolled by the Lakers. As always, the biggest edge we have in sports betting is news. It is critical to follow the news up to tip off with lots of potential opportunities opening up. Here are a couple of the plays I am looking at for tonight. Dennis Schroder (TOR) Over 15.5 Points (-120 Bet365)
The books adjusted up two points from yesterday, but it still is not enough and it is factoring in those two games he performed poorly when injured. This matchup is a great pace up spot versus the Pacers, who are first in the NBA in pace and fit Schroder's play style.
Schroder is averaging 31 minutes and 16.2 points on the season, and I have him projected here vs the Pacers at 32 minutes and 18.2 points. His line has seemingly dropped with his recent performances playing with a banged-up knee he suffered in the 4th quarter of the Wizards game on 11/13. He went into the Bucks game with a questionable tag, and many, including myself expected him to sit out. He finished with 23 minutes and only 9 points, clearly not at 100%. The following two games since, vs. BOS and DET, he was back to his normal minutes and points scoring. He finished with 35 minutes, 23 points vs BOS and 26 minutes and 17 points vs the Pistons in a blowout.

LaMelo Ball (CHA) Over 28.5 Points (-115 Bet365)
LaMelo Ball's line has gotten a significant bump for this matchup with the Wizards who are 2nd in the NBA in pace and just have no interest in playing defense. The jump alone might give some sticker-shock, but the 25.5 line was just broken and we should not let it factor into our decision for tonight. To begin the season, Ball had some restrictions, and his scoring was low for the first five games, however in the past eight games, he is averaging 32 points per game. Given this matchup, the line is still too low for Ball here given his play and the matchup.
