When to Draft a Wide Receiver in Your Fantasy Football League
The fantasy landscape has shifted in unison with the league. There are a dwindling number of true difference-makers at running back these days, and not because they're any less talented than the backs that came before them. This has been a big story this offseason as it relates to contracts, so we're forced to adjust in the fantasy game as well.
The days of 30+ touch workhorses are behind us. A decade ago, a few annoying teams would run out a running back by committee approach, but that's now the norm in almost every backfield around the league in 2023. Pair that with a shift to higher passing rates overall, and wide-receiving talent, especially in the early rounds, is now the apple of most fantasy gamer's eye.
