2022 Waste Management Phoenix Open Betting & DFS Preview

The PGA Tour heads to TPC Scottsdale and the Arizona desert for this week’s Waste Management Phoenix Open. After three consecutive weeks of course rotations and pro-am set-ups, we are back to normal tournament golf. It’s a smaller 132-player field with a cut after 36 holes and the top 65 and ties advancing to the weekend.

Known for its raucous crowds, especially at the par-3 16th hole, this event has a unique atmosphere and is a tournament that often produces a dramatic finale. Thirteen of the past 15 years had a scoring margin of one stroke, including seven playoffs.

While there are plenty of scoring opportunities on this course, the winning score has only reached 20-under par once in the last 14 years. Over the past five years, scoring has averaged 0.86 strokes under par. Strong drivers of the ball have had great success here, including last year's winner, Brooks Koepka, and others such as Hideki Matsuyama, Jon Rahm and Justin Thomas.

There is a star-studded field this week in Scottsdale with six of the top 10 players in the world including Jon Rahm, Viktor Hovland, Patrick Cantlay, Justin Thomas, Xander Schauffele and Hideki Matsuyama. This year's edition of the Waste Management Phoenix Open is the strongest in its history with a "Strength of Field" rating of 536. In total, 17 of the top 30 golfers inside the Official World Golf Rankings will be in attendance, only adding to the drama and atmosphere of the event.
