2021 Rocket Mortgage Classic: Round 3 Matchups

As the second round of the Rocket Mortgage Classic concluded, similar to last week's Travelers Championship, 31 players are within four shots of co-leaders Joaquin Niemann and Tom Lewis, who each sit at 10-under par. It should make for another entertaining weekend, even though defending champion and sixth-ranked player in the world, Bryson DeChambeau, was sent packing (missed the cut line by two shots). After suddenly breaking up with his caddie before the first round, DeChambeau struggled mightily. In fact, Patrick Reed was the only one of the top three pre-tournament favorites to make the cut, and he had to save par on the last hole to slip in. With northern winds gusting to over 20 miles per hour for most of the day, scoring in the second round was a full shot higher than on Thursday.
