IDP Waiver Wire: Week 10 Pickups and Matchup Plays

I can't believe we've hit double digits and that it's already Week 10. In most leagues, the playoffs begin in Week 13 or 14, and trade deadlines are wrapping up this week. I hope many of you are in playoff contention, so let's keep the momentum going this week. We have four teams on bye (Chiefs, Raiders, Eagles, Ravens), so let's see who we're targeting this week on waivers and which IDP matchups stand out as we head down the home stretch of the fantasy season.

Week 10 IDP Waiver Wire Pickups

Defensive Line

Robert Ayers, DE, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (47 snaps/78%)

Ayers has been battling inconsistency this season, but posted his best game of the season against the Saints. He has good matchups with the Jets, Dolphins, and Packers looming, so he's a good buy-low candidate from your wire. He's still registering a 12% pressure rate, so when called on, he has generated pressure.

Linval Joseph, DT, Minnesota Vikings (Bye Week)

Joseph is valuable in not only DT-required leagues, but in DL-general leagues as well. Overall, he's a DL14 in tackle-heavy formats and is a fine waiver wire pickup. He's produced a sack in three of his five games and he's on pace for 68 tackles this season. Joseph is a dependable run stuffer and can get to the QB.

Muhammad Wilkerson, DE, New York Jets (53 snaps/71%)

I still see him on the wire and if you haven't picked him up by now, I guess you never will. I really like his matchup against the Bucs coming up, especially with Ryan Fitzpatrick getting the start. His pressure rate has fallen below 10%, but he does have consecutive weeks with sacks. He could have an impact down the stretch of the second half of the season.
