Stacking the Deck: FanDuel & DraftKings Stacks for Week 17
Welcome back to Stacking the Deck. This season at 4for4 we will be providing subscribers with Value Reports and Stack Value Reports that value every stack in terms of projected points/$. We also use our Adjusted Fantasy Points Against (aFPA) metric heavily in the column. What’s new this year is we know have the have the advantage of putting into practice two great offseason studies from my colleague, Senior DFS Editor, Chris Raybon: The Definitive Guide to Stacking on FanDuel and The Definitive Guide to Stacking on DraftKings.
More often than not, Week 17 is a week of chaos. The question is: how do we profit from uncertainty and a higher degree of variance when the chalk all goes to hell? For me, the answer is to scale back in cash games and to play a higher volume of GPPs than normal. It’s Week 17. Don’t be content cashing in your GPP -- shoot to take whole the thing down.
We will continue to focus on positive correlations in this column, but also put a higher emphasis on leverage plays in GPPs. The following are my top stacks for Week 17 on both FanDuel and DraftKings:
FanDuel Stacks
Russell Wilson ($7,600) & Doug Baldwin ($7,100) @ SF
Quarterback and WR1 have a .45 correlation on FanDuel, the strongest of all positions. Seattle has clinched a playoff spot but can still move into position for a first round bye if they get a win and things break their way in the Atlanta game. The worry is that the spread is ten points, and if the Seahawks get up big they, could rest starters. Baldwin has an 29.66 percent target market share over the past four games, and the hope would be that if they do get up big, this stack would be a prime cause n a fast-paced game. The Wilson-Baldwin stack is our number-four QB-WR stack in our FanDuel Stack Value Reports and has the fifth-highest projected ceiling on the slate.
