DraftKings Week 5 Cash Game Breakdown
Now that four weeks of the season is underway, we have some relevant sample sizes to work with. With the aFPA numbers still containing quite a bit of noise, I think the best way to use the season's four-game sample size is to look at usage trends. Specifically, what percentage of targets or touches is a player seeing? Has that percentage remained consistent over the span of four games, or is there on huge outlier? The players who are getting consistent workloads will generally be your best bets, especially at the receiving positions. Let's get into the Week 5 plays.
Editor's Note: The 4for4 Championship is still going strong in Week 5 - and now we're rolling out something special! This week's tournament still awards 5 Championship seats and $7,000 in cash prizes, but in Week 5 you can enter for only $5 (instead of $10) and you can also win a FREE VIP TRIP to Las Vegas for the World Fantasy Football Championship Event in December! The trip will include a hotel room and round trip flight, as well as access to FanDuel's exclusive parties the weekend of the event. This will be the weekend of a lifetime, and your best chance to get there is in the 4for4 Championship. Draft a team now!
QB Matt Ryan $6,700 vs. WAS
Matty Ice is second in the NFL in passing yards and is averaging 8.4 yards per attempt. His only issue fantasy-wise has been that of Atlanta's 15 offensive TDs, nine have come via the run, a figure which is bound to regress to the mean – the NFL average is a 2:1 passing-to-rushing TD split. Coming in with a 27.75 Vegas total, Ryan and the Falcons passing game should have no problem carving up the Redskins, who have allowed a 7:0 TD-to-interception ratio this season.
