Streaming Tight Ends: Week 11 Targets

If you are visiting the TEBWW column for the first time, the idea is simple. Owners without an every week plug-and-play tight end target a tight end on the waiver wire that has a favorable matchup, based on Schedule-Adjusted Fantasy Points Allowed. Ideally, our waiver wire targets have seen a recent uptick in usage, or is at least are in a position to see increased snaps or targets.

For tight ends to be an eligible TEBWW candidate, they must be available in at least 40% of Yahoo fantasy leagues.

The tight end streaming all star in Week 10 was Mychal Rivera, who continued his 3 game hot streak. Though his production came mostly in garbage time, Rivera posted 18.4 PPR FP, and finished Week 10 as the TE3 in PPR formats.

Clay Harbor failed to capitalize on a premium matchup for the second straight week, posting 5.8 PPR FP, while Owen Daniels floundered with just 4 PPR FP.

Through 10 weeks, our tight end streaming picks are averaging 8.5 PPR FP per game as a group, which equates to the overall TE14 on the season. Our optimal picks have posted an impressive 14.5 PPR FP per game, good enough to be the overall TE5.

Here’s a look at the top TEBWW options for Week 11:

Kyle Rudolph at Chicago (Health Pending)

Kyle Rudolph is expected to play for the first time since Week 3, and if he does, he returns to face the most tight end friendly defense in the league. After allowing touchdowns to both Andrew Quarless and Richard Rodgers on Sunday Night, the Bears are now allowing a whopping 21.9 schedule adjusted fantasy points per game to tight ends.

As Patrick Fitzmaurice points out in this week’s Waiver Wire Watch, this will be the first time that Rudolph gets the privilege of playing with Teddy Bridgewater under center. If Rudolph can’t go, Chase Ford isn’t a horrible option, as he has posted 11 catches for 127 yard and a touchdown on 12 targets over the Vikings last 2 games. Rudolph is owned in just 31% of Yahoo leagues, while Chase Ford is available in 100% of leagues.
