Waiver Wire Watch: Week 2

Through three quarters, Locker completed 23 of 32 passes for 229 yards and a TD before being knocked out of the game with a shoulder injury. He's the best long-term/short-term pickup at the QB position given his Week 2 matchup against the Chargers, and head coach Mike Munchak confirmed that he is expected to start next week. Also, he should be getting Kenny Britt back from suspension/injury, so the Titans' passing attack should be quite formidable.

Cassel finished with 258 yards and pass TD to Kevin Boss. He also scampered for a 5-yard TD in the 2nd quarter. His upcoming schedule looks pretty good. After a trip to Buffalo, who just got eviscerated by Mark Sanchez and the Jets, he'll face the Saints and Chargers, so he can "get an owner by" at the QB position for three weeks.

Ponder completed 20 of 27 passes for 270 yards. He didn't have a TD pass, but Kyle Rudolph gives him a big weapon around the goal line. I'm mentioning Ponder here because he has a great matchup with the Colts in Week 2.

Morris will be the hot pickup at RB heading into Week 2 after rushing for 96 yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries against the Saints in Week 1. Head coach Mike Shanahan said, “Alfred right now is our starting running back.” This could mean any number of things, but the most likely scenario is that Morris continues to start until he falters either by injury, ineffectiveness or fumbling his job away.
