Week 6 vs. New England
T.Y. Hilton (groin) has been limited by his injury this season and clearly isn't the same guy we've seen in previous seasons. The talented wideout has yet to hit 100 yards in any game this season and is still without a touchdown.
He hasn't been awful this year, considering the circumstances. Andrew Luck is hurt and missed two games, leaving Matt Hasselbeck to manage the game. There's only so much Hilton can do right now. He'll look to get going this week in a decent matchup against the Patriots, and should be viewed as a strong WR2.
Week 5 vs. Houston
T.Y. Hilton is without a touchdown through four games this season, which is a letdown considering his big-play ability. His longest catch this season has only gone for 48 yards. He did well last week with Matt Hasselbeck throwing passes, finishing with seven receptions for 67 yards. He may struggle this week in a tough matchup against Houston, however. Hilton should be viewed as a low-end WR2 on a short week in a tough road game with an injured quarterback.
Week 4 vs. Jacksonville
T.Y. Hilton had a nice four-catch, 94-yard effort in Week 3. It was his highest yardage total of the season to date. He'll hope to improve on those numbers in Week 4 against a banged-up Jacksonville team. It's possible as many as five players from the Jaguars secondary won't play against Indy. If that ends up happening, Hilton should be able to find some holes in the defense and take advantage. He leads the Colts in targets (28) and should be a strong option this week. View him as a low-end WR1 or a strong WR2 this week.
Week 3 vs. Tennessee
T.Y. Hilton played through pain in Week 2, but didn't play well. He finished with just four receptions for 45 yards. It wasn't a horrible effort, but not something we expect from a dynamic player such as Hilton.
He'll face a Titans defense that is average when it comes to stopping receivers, but his knee injury could hinder his production, so keep that in mind. Just because he's cleared to play doesn't mean he's 100 percent. Hilton should be viewed as a WR2 this week.
Week 1 vs. Buffalo
T.Y. Hilton has the opportunity to blow up on any given week, although he may find it challenging to do so in Week 1. He'll see a tough matchup against Buffalo, which knocks down his value a bit.
He may have a tough matchup, but don't stress too much over it. The Colts offense is one of the best in the league and can often find success no matter what. Hilton's ceiling is so high that it would be slightly crazy to bench him. Hilton should be viewed as a low-end WR1 or high WR2 against Buffalo.
Fantasy Upside
T.Y. Hilton has been a fascinating option ever since joining the league and he had his best season yet in 2014 as he finished with 1,345 yards (sixth highest in NFL) and seven touchdowns on 82 receptions. His speed makes him a threat to create big plays and he proved it by having 21 receptions of 20 yards or more, which was best for sixth in the league. He brings plenty of potential to any fantasy roster as the No. 1 option in a high-powered offense led by Andrew Luck.
Fantasy Downside
Hilton's downside is that he has likely reached his peak. It's not a bad thing because he did so well last season, but there's not much room for improvement. The Colts added Andre Johnson (free agency) and Phillip Dorsett (draft), will incorporate Donte Moncrief more after a strong finish to 2014 and have two talented tight ends as well. There are so many weapons in Indianapolis that Hilton no longer has to be the main man.
Bottom Line
While there are a lot of mouths to feed in Indy, Hilton will still be the No. 1 option. He should easily get at least 1,000 yards and should be viewed as a WR1 in PPR and standard formats. Just don't expect his numbers from last year to increase. In fact, they're more likely to decrease a tad.
T.Y. Hilton - Week 20 vs. New England
T.Y. Hilton hasn't had an explosive postseason, but he's been a solid contributor. He has 10 receptions for 175 yards in the team's two playoff games, but he has yet to haul in a touchdown.
This week he goes against Darrelle Revis and the New England Patriots. When he faced the Pats earlier in the season he struggled, finishing with just three receptions for 24 yards.
He's capable of exploding at a moment's notice, which gives him a lot of upside. There is risk involved however considering how he fared the last time he played the Patriots. He'll be one of the top options because he's easily the best receiver for the Colts.
T.Y. Hilton - Week 19 vs. Denver
T.Y. Hilton was Andrew Luck's go-to guy last week. Hilton was targeted a team-high 15 times (almost double the amount of the other WRs combined), but only came down with six passes. He still had an effective outing, finishing with 103 yards.
This week he faces a Broncos defense that has been tough against wideouts recently. Receivers have caught 19 passes for 170 yards combined in Denver's last three games. Hilton will hope to have more success than that.
In his last meeting with the team he finished with five receptions for 41 yards. Hilton isn't an elite option this week, but he's at the top of the second tier of wideouts.
T.Y. Hilton - Wild Card vs. Cincinnati Bengals
T.Y. Hilton was active in Week 17 after missing Week 16, but he didn't get much action. He wasn't targeted and the Colts weren't going full throttle anyways. It's encouraging to see Hilton get over his injury, but he's essentially missed the last two games.
Before sitting out Week 16, Hilton had been a force. He set a new career high in receiving yards (1,345) and tied his career high in receptions (82) and touchdowns (7).
He finished six games with at least 100 receiving yards this season. One of those games came against his opponent this week, the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals are typically tough against wideouts, though.
Hilton isn't in the top-tier of receivers this week, but he's near the top of the second tier. He's one of the better options.
T.Y. Hilton - Week 17 vs. Tennessee Titans
T.Y. Hilton has been a limited participant in practice this week. Head coach Chuck Pagano said he's "hopeful" Hilton will play Sunday. He missed last week with a hamstring injury. It doesn't make much sense for the Colts to bring Hilton back, considering they aren't playing for anything.
If Hilton does return, he'll be a decent option. He leads the Colts with 82 receptions for 1,345 yards and seven touchdowns.
