GB WR Randall Cobb - Week 5, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. St. Louis
After going off for three TD catches in Week 3, Cobb was limited to five catches for 44 yards last week at San Francisco. But in two home games, he has 15 catches, is averaging just over 100 yards and has the three TDs, taking advantage of Aaron Rodgers' comfort at Lambeau Field. The Rams pass defense is sixth in terms of points allowed to opposing wide receivers, but Antonio Brown, a player to whom Cobb compares favorably, had a fine day against them. Cobb should be solid.

GB WR Randall Cobb - Week 4, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at San Francisco
After a so-so game in Week 1, Cobb has been very active the past two weeks as the Packers have figured out ways to force-feed him the ball. Last week, that added up to seven catches for 91 yards and three scores. With Davante Adams now out as well, Cobb will be an even bigger part of the game plan. He should be a very solid No. 1 starter against a soft San Francisco defense.

GB WR Randall Cobb - Week 3, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs Kansas City
Cobb had eight catches for 116 yards last week and has been valuable in each of the first two weeks despite opponents knowing he's getting the ball. The shoulder injury he suffered in the preseason seems to be a thing of the past - or at least something he can play through. KC's pass defense has given up 20 and 21 receptions to opposing receivers in the first two games for 283 and 223 yards, respectively. The Chiefs also have allowed two WR scores in each of those games as well. Cobb is a must-start in all formats.

GB WR Randall Cobb - Week 2, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs Seattle
Cobb continues to deal with his shoulder injury, but he's going to keep on playing. He managed just five catches for 38 yards last week but did score, salvaging the day. Cobb will again see plenty of attention this week from the Seahawks, but Aaron Rodgers will find ways to get him the football. Expect No. 2-like fantasy numbers this week with the possibility of better if he can get into the end zone again.

GB WR Randall Cobb - Week 1, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 at Chicago
Fantasy owners can hope Cobb reverts to his form from the first half of last season when he had 10 touchdowns in the first nine games. He did have 185 receiving yards and three scores in two games against the Bears last season, so there is hope. With Jordy Nelson out for the season, Cobb should see double digit targets every game, though that's not something new. The 25-year-old was practicing on Wednesday despite a shoulder injury that knocked him out of the preseason and he should be good to go in Week 1.

GB WR Randall Cobb - 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside
For the first half of last season, Randall Cobb might have been the biggest bargain in fantasy football as he scored 10 touchdowns in Green Bay's first nine games. He'll again be a main cog in one of the NFL's best offenses with top quarterback Aaron Rodgers at the trigger.

Fantasy Downside
Oh that second half last season was frustrating. Cobb had just two TD catches after his strong start, and they both came in Week 17, after most championships had been decided. He was still productive - especially in PPR leagues - but if you relied heavily on him in your first half, he hurt you in the second half, when he performed more like a No. 2 or 3 receiver rather than the No. 1 he had been. He also is dealing with a shoulder injury that might slow him early in the year.

Bottom Line
I would expect more consistency this season. While the touchdown binge early in the season was kind of fluky, I don't expect him to have just two TDs over a seven-game span again. But Cobb's ADP of 23 might be a little high. With Jordy Nelson gone on the other side, Cobb should have another strong season.

GB WR Randall Cobb - Week 20, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Randall Cobb Playoffs vs. Seahawks
With Dallas intent on slowing Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb was given the run of the field last week and finished with eight catches for 116 yards while also running the ball once for two more yards. In the opener at Seattle, Cobb had six receptions for 58 yards and a score on nine targets. He's going to get his looks, even with a tough matchup.

GB WR Randall Cobb - Week 19, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Randall Cobb Playoffs vs. Cowboys
After going six weeks without scoring, Randall Cobb got into the end zone twice in the regular season finale against Detroit. If the weather is a factor and the Packers want to get the ball out of Aaron Rodgers' hands quickly, Cobb could flourish this week. Despite his six-week TD drought, he scored seven touchdowns in home games this season. He should be a very solid start this week.

GB WR Randall Cobb - Week 17, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Randall Cobb Week 17 vs. Lions
Randall Cobb set season highs last week with 11 receptions for 131 yards but also failed to score for the sixth consecutive week. Detroit limited him to a season-low three receptions for 29 yards in their first meeting. He should be better than that this time around, but if he's not scoring touchdowns - and he isn't - use Cobb as a No. 2 receiver and hope for the best.

GB WR Randall Cobb - Week 16, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Randall Cobb Week 16 vs. Bucs
Randall Cobb was really the lone bright spot in the passing game last week, catching seven passes for 96 yards. But he's now gone five weeks without scoring after having 10 in his first nine games. Cobb remains a solid start in all formats, despite the lack of touchdowns of late. Green Bay's passing game should bounce back well this week against a so-so Tampa Bay secondary.
