GB WR Randall Cobb - Week 7, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Chicago
Cobb had seven catches for 53 yards and his first TD of the season against Dallas last week, and could be a big beneficiary of Green Bay's running back issues this week. He's the guy who can catch short passes and work out of the backfield, and with no running game, Green Bay could lean on Cobb even more. He's had 22 targets the past two weeks and should get at least another 11 in this game. Cobb should be a good start, particularly in PPR leagues.

GB WR Randall Cobb - Week 6, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Dallas
Cobb had his breakout game last week, catching nine passes for 108 yards. Though he didn't score, he was targeted in the red zone, as well. He did suffer a neck injury on his final catch, but is expected to play this week. Jordy Nelson has re-established himself as the team's No. 1 receiver, which should continue to afford Cobb opportunities. He's a high-end No. 2 receiver this week, with that first touchdown catch of the season perhaps in the cards.

GB WR Randall Cobb - Week 5, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. New York Giants
Cobb has been a major disappointment thus far with just 12 catches in Green Bay's first three games. He's also only scored once, as Aaron Rodgers has seemed to be working extra hard to incorporate Jordy Nelson into things. Perhaps that will change coming out of the bye, but Cobb has only seen 18 targets thus far this season. Given Nelson's play, opponents will start shading his way with safety help, so it could be time for Cobb to shine.

GB WR Randall Cobb - Week 3, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs. Detroit
Cobb had just five catches for 42 yards last week and now has 11 receptions this season for 99 yards. He also has yet to score. Detroit has allowed six TD passes this season and Jordy Nelson is starting to round back into shape, so better days are ahead for Cobb, possibly as soon as this week. Cobb should be a decent No. 2 start this week because of the matchup.

GB WR Randall Cobb - Week 2, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at Minnesota
Cobb caught six of his eight targets last week for 57 yards in a ho-hum effort. But until Jordy Nelson gets his legs back under him and starts demanding double teams, that's probably what we're looking at in terms or production from Cobb. He had just eight catches on 17 targets in two meetings with Minnesota last season, so be a little cautious here. Cobb is a low-end No. 2 start this week and probably much better served as a No. 3 option.

GB WR Randall Cobb - Week 1, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 at Jacksonville
Nobody should be happier to see Jordy Nelson back on the field than Cobb, who struggled mightily as Green Bay's No. 1 option last season. Remember, Cobb had 12 TD catches in 2014 working opposite Nelson. That number fell to six last season, with three coming in one game. Jacksonville's defense against wideouts last season was just middle of the pack, and Green Bay wants to put a poor 2015 in the past. Look for Cobb to have a solid No. 2-WR-like day.

GB WR Randall Cobb - 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

2016 Fantasy Outlook
We learned in 2015 that Randall Cobb is not a No. 1 receiver. Despite having three more targets (129) than he had in 2014, Cobb saw his catch total drop from 91 to 79 and his yardage slashed by 450 yards. His touchdown production also fell from 12 to 6 as opponents focused on shutting him down without Jordy Nelson in the lineup. Cobb will turn 26 in August and should benefit from the return of Nelson. Despite his struggles last season, he's still considered a decent No. 2 fantasy and has an ADP of 41. You should be able to nab him in the third or fourth round of your draft and hope the return of Nelson means a bounce back for this former high-volume star.

GB WR Randall Cobb - Week 19, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 19 at Arizona
Cobb's struggles to get free continued last week as he managed just three catches on eight targets. He also had just 38 yards, his 12th game this season with 54 yards or fewer. Only a touchdown catch saved the day. You want to count on that? He caught just three passes for 15 yards against the Cardinals a few weeks ago - on three targets - as Arizona took him completely out of the game. Cobb might not be that much of a non-factor this week, but he's a tough sell.

GB WR Randall Cobb - Week 18, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 18 at Washington
Six catches for 37 yards was all Cobb could manage last week, continuing his downward spiral this season. He's had just three games with more than 51 yards receiving in the second half of the season. Unless you're playing him in a PPR league, he has little value. Cobb had six touchdown catches all season, three of which came in one game. The Redskins gave up 23 passing touchdowns this season to receivers, but counting on Cobb to score would be a stretch.

GB WR Randall Cobb - Week 17, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. Minnesota
Cobb had a season-low 15 yards on three catches last week. If you're still putting him in your lineup, why? He hasn't had a 100-yard game since Week 2. He hasn't caught a TD pass in six weeks. That touchdown did come against Minnesota, so there's some hope. But it's probably a long shot. Cobb has faded fast and shouldn't be used as anything more than a No. 3 receiver.
