Week 9 Essential NFL Practice News & Notes for Friday

Cowboys QB Matt Cassel (knee, probable) took full practice reps all week and is probable for Week 9.

Jets QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (left thumb, probable) took full practice reps all week and is probable for Week 9. Fitzpatrick will play through the thumb injury, which is to his non-throwing hand. We would expect near-normal production.

Colts QB Andrew Luck (ankle, probable) took full practice reps again Friday and is probable for Week 9. Luck should be good to go for a tough matchup with the Broncos.

Broncos QB Peyton Manning (right shoulder, probable) took full practice reps again Friday and is probable for Week 9. Manning will be fine for a matchup against his old team. He looked better against the Packers last week.

Titans QB Marcus Mariota (knee, probable) took full practice reps all week and is probable for Week 9. Mariota will start in a good matchup against the Saints. He won’t have Kendall Wright, however, and New Orleans can be a tough place to play.

Jets QB Geno Smith (left shoulder, probable) took full practice reps all week and is probable for Week 9.

Bills QB Tyrod Taylor (knee, probable) took full practice reps all week and is probable for Week 9. Taylor is expected to make his return against the Dolphins this week. He owns the 5th-highest per game average at the quarterback position, though he may not be quite as willing to run since he’s coming off of a knee injury.
