Week 13 at Los Angeles Rams
Sure enough, Tyler Lockett scored in his fourth straight game last week against the Raiders. It's not as much of a guarantee that he'll score against the Rams and make it five straight, but it's at least a good chance. Injuries have derailed the Rams, though Jalen Ramsey is still floating around. Still, with the way Geno Smith has been playing, and with him not having to worry about Aaron Donald this week, Lockett should still see opportunities again this week. He's a strong WR2 this week.
Week 12 vs. Las Vegas Raiders
Tyler Lockett now has three straight games with a touchdown as the Seahawks have really been clicking of late through the air. Coming off their bye week, the Seahawks have a date with the Raiders, who have really struggled this season against opposing wide receivers. There’s a good chance Lockett makes it four straight games with a touchdown.
Week 10 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Germany
Tyler Lockett has averaged 5 catches and 65 yards with a touchdown over the last two games and has 17 catches if we stretch it to the last three games. Lockett is again becoming a sure-handed receiver and has been extremely trustworthy for Geno Smith. That trust will travel overseas this week as the Seahawks meet the Buccaneers in Germany and Tampa's defense has been interesting to say the least. Regardless, Lockett remains trustworthy in fantasy lineups.
Week 9 at Arizona Cardinals
Tyler Lockett has had a nice season so far, but one of his quiet spots this season actually came against the Cardinals in Week 6. He caught just two passes for 17 yards. DK Metcalf was quiet that game as well (2-34). Arizona has been up and down all year on defense and are towards the bottom against the pass. Lockett is also coming off a 5-63-1 line against the Giants with eight targets. He's still a safe option this week as he'll typically get you catches (six games with at least five catches).
Week 8 vs. New York Giants
DK Metcalf may miss this week, meaning Tyler Lockett could see quite an uptick in targets against the Giants. He's already gotten back to near WR1 status and will definitely be the WR1 in Seattle if Metcalf can't go, so the opportunity is there in spades for the sure-handed receiver.
Week 7 at Los Angeles Chargers
Tyler Lockett saw just five targets and only had two catches against the Cardinals, but part of that was due to the Seahawks focusing on the ground game with Kenneth Walker. The Chargers have some issues on the back end (J.C. Jackson was benched during Monday's game against the Broncos) and Lockett and DK Metcalf are really the only players, for the most part, that Geno Smith throws to. That opportunity alone and the way Seattle uses Lockett across the field still make him worthy of a WR2 slot on your teams this week.
Week 6 vs. Arizona Cardinals
It seems Tyler Lockett has gotten his swagger back. He has four straight games with at least 75 yards, including two games with at least 100 yards. He scored his first two touchdowns of the season against the Saints. He faces what may be his favorite opponent in the Arizona Cardinals. In the past two seasons (four games), Lockett has averaged 120 yards and has scored six touchdowns, including his 15-200-3 line in Week 7 of 2020. His average PPR score in those games? 29.3. Lockett could have a little fun again on Sunday.
Week 5 at New Orleans Saints
With the Seahawks starting to catch a little fire on offense, both Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf are solid fantasy starts once again. Lockett saw eight targets against the Lions and caught six passes for 91 yards, his third straight game with at least 75 yards. The only thing missing is a touchdown, but Lockett now has 24 catches in the last three weeks. Looks like he's back to being the sure-handed fantasy options we've known and loved.
Week 4 at Detroit Lions
Two straight weeks with nine catches and 11 targets for Tyler Lockett. He's built a nice connection again with Geno Smith. He gets the Lions this week, who are so-so against the pass. Lockett should continue to gobble up targets and volume, making him a very worthy flex option for Week 4.
Week 3 vs. Atlanta Falcons
Somehow, Tyler Lockett broke 100 yards against the 49ers, becoming the lone bright spot on what was a miserable day Sunday. Lockett will have these moments, being very up and down. Week 3 against Atlanta may be another "up" day for Lockett against an okay pass defense. A.J. Terrell may focus on DK Metcalf, so the field may open up a bit for Lockett and he's coming off seeing 11 targets against the 49ers. If Geno Smith continues that trend, Lockett could be a sneaky flex play in Week 3.
