Week 14 vs Texans
Rashaad Penny had his first game with double-digit carries last week against the 49ers. Part of that could have been Alex Collins being inactive, but Adrian Peterson still saw work as well. With the way Seattle rotates their running backs, it's hard to pinpoint one of the backs, but it was Penny's most work, snap-wise, as well all season. It's also not a bad matchup against the Texans, who have basically packed it in for the year.
Week 10 vs Packers
In two games since returning from injury, Rashaad Penny has rushed 13 times for 16 yards. Seattle just isn't giving him the ball. Even with four teams on a bye, very difficult to put much faith in Penny's fantasy stock at this point.
Week 8 vs Jaguars
Rashaad Penny made his return last week against the Saints and saw six carries on 20 offensive snaps. But those six carries went for just nine yards. Penny, for now, seems to be the RB2 in Seattle, but Travis Homer, DeeJay Dallas and Nick Bellore also get sprinkled in, so who knows what direction the Seahawks will go in. For now, Penny is a deep flex option with limited upside.
Week 14 at Los Angeles Rams
Rashaad Penny is making his mark in recent games. He has 29 carries over the past two games and 203 rushing yards. He has three touchdowns overall in that stretch. The Seahawks are slowly becoming a two-headed monster in the backfield which raises Penny's overall stock.
Penny will face the Rams for the second time this season. He had eight touches for 49 yards that game, but is being used differently at this point. Los Angeles is ranked 14th in aFPA to running backs this season.
Penny's stock has risen, but he is still only an RB3 for Week 14. Carson is still the main man in Seattle at this time.
Week 13 vs Minnesota
After accumulating only six touches in his previous two games, Rashaad Penny exploded with 14 carries for only 129 yards and a touchdown. It was season-highs in everything and makes some question his role moving forward. Will he cut into Chris Carson's carries the rest of the season?
The talent is there, but we still need to see more on how Seattle uses him. Keep Penny on the bench but keep an eye on his performance against Minnesota.
Week 10 at San Francisco
Rashaad Penny had four carries for 12 yards last week. Right now, he is just getting playing time to spell Chris Carson who is having a Pro Bowl season. Penny is not worth playing in your lineup and might only be good as a collar for Carson at this point.
Week 9 vs Tampa Bay
After missing two games, Rashaad Penny returned to the lineup and carried the ball eight times for 55 yards. It was his best output since Week 2 of the season. He still is the primary backup for Chris Carson, but is not receiving much of a workload.
Penny doesn't have a good matchup against the Buccaneers who are ranked 1st in aFPA to running backs. Keep Penny on the bench for Week 9 as he won't get enough touches and the matchup is very tough.
Week 8 at Atlanta
Rashaad Penny has been practicing and seems healthy, but he barely played last week. The Seahawks are riding Chris Carson and for good reason. He has been putting up big numbers and getting almost all the touches. Keep Penny on the bench for Week 8 until we see more playing time.
Week 6 at Cleveland
After missing two games with injuries, Rashaad Penny only had eight touches against the Rams. The Seahawks are relying heavily on Chris Carson so don't expect Penny's workload to change at this time.
He faces the Browns who are 17th in aFPA to running backs. Penny will probably not get enough touches to make a fantasy impact. Keep him on the bench for Week 6.
Week 5 vs Los Angeles Rams
Rashaad Penny missed last week's game with a hamstring injury. He has been a full participant in practice this week and is expected to play. Back in Week 3, Penny had 13 touches for 65 yards and a touchdown. The starter Chris Carson had a very good game last week with 26 touches so we don't expect Penny to get to double figures this week.
The 'Hawks face the Rams who are 15th in aFPA to running backs but gave up 55 points last week. Penny's role will be limited on Thursday coming off the injury and the way Carson played. Keep him on the bench for Week 5.
