GB WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Houston

MVS had yet another forgettable performance in Week 6 against Tampa Bay as he caught three passes for 32 yards on five targets. Valdes-Scantling has yet to produce any meaningful fantasy games outside of his Week 1 performance and is now Aaron Rodgers’ third or fourth option. Even so, MVS is still worth rostering and is probably looking as a WR4 this week as you can never count out in receiver that’s tethered to Rodgers.

GB WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Tampa Bay

With plenty of opportunities to flourish in Davante Adams’ absence due to injury, MVS failed to produce any meaningful game as Rodgers' top receiver. Rather, he surrendered targets to breakout TE Robert Tonyan and even backup RB Jamaal Williams. With Davante Adams back in the lineup, it is difficult to see MVS producing much against Tampa Bay in Week 6. While having Adams back might help MVS get more open looks, MVS should not be seen as anything higher than a WR4 this week.

GB WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at New Orleans

Valdez-Scantling finished his Week 2 matchup with three receptions for 64 yards but most importantly, he had a total of seven targets. This level of trust MVS is receiving from Aaron Rodgers is further entrenching MVS as the second receiving option in this offense behind Davante Adams, which is doubly important this week as the latter might miss Sunday night’s game against New Orleans.

MVS has earned weekly WR4 viability, but he should be viewed a high-end WR3 in this one as even if Adams doesn’t miss Week 3, his hamstring injury might make more of a decoy to attract the attention of shutdown corner Marshon Lattimore.

GB WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Carolina Panthers
Marquez Valdes-Scantling failed to catch either of his targets last week and is dealing with knee and ankle injuries this week. He hasn't gotten more than three targets in his past four games -- and that was without Davante Adams playing. It won't get any easier for him now, even if he does play. Pass on MVS this week.

GB WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at L.A. Chargers
Without Davante Adams in the lineup, Marquez Valdes-Scantling hasn't gotten more than four targets in a game. Adams could be back this week, which could offer MVS some additional opportunities. But seriously, even with four teams on a bye and Aaron Rodgers throwing him the ball, can you start a guy who has gotten seven targets in the past three games and 11 in the past four? He's a flex play option only because he's got Rodgers throwing him the ball -- when he actually, you know, does that -- and that's about it.

GB WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Kansas City Chiefs
Marquez Valdes-Scantling might have had the odd stat line of the week last week, catching two of the three passes thrown his way for 133 yards and a touchdown. You'd love to see more targets for MVS, but the production was most certainly there with Davante Adams out again. MVS remains Aaron Rodgers' top downfield target, but with Rodgers spreading the ball around, it makes MVS a WR3 or flex play with upside, especially against the Chiefs this week.

GB WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Oakland Raiders
Marquez Valdes-Scantling is dealing with ankle and knee injuries. And he might still be the healthiest of Green Bay's front line receivers. Check his status before putting him in the lineup. He had just two catches for 48 yards on two targets last week. But he would certainly be targeted more heavily if he can get out there, at least enough to use as a WR3 or flex with some upside.

GB WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Detroit Lions
Marquez Valdes-Scantling didn't exactly prosper working as the No. 1 receiver last week, catching just one pass for 18 yards on four targets with Davante Adams out. Adams will be out again this week and MVS is dealing with injury issues of his own. He also should draft a lot of attention in this game, as well, and he just might not be ready for shadow coverage. Check his status Friday before putting him in the lineup as a WR3.

GB WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Dallas Cowboys
With Davante Adams likely out, Marquez Valdes-Scantling assumes the role of No. 1 receiver for the Packers. Typically, that's great news. But against Dallas' pass defense, the extra attention might be unwanted. MVS had three catches for 47 yards last week on seven targets and should get a similar amount of targets in this game. That makes him a WR3 considering the matchup. He figures to see a lot of Byron Jones in this game and he might not be ready for that kind of matchup.

GB WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Philadelphia Eagles
Marquez Valdes-Scantling got a team-high 10 targets last week, catching six passes for 99 yards and a score. That's the kind of solid production he can provide as the No. 2 receiver in the Packers offense. The Eagles' secondary is vulnerable and the Packers could get their passing game going a little bit in this one. Valdes-Scantling is a nice WR3 option this week.
