Week 5 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
After a breakout Week 4 game, Jimmy Graham came back down to reality in Week 4. He wasn't awful, finishing 4-33 on five targets. He's now had at least three receptions in three of his four games this season and is No. 11 among tight ends in receptions (14) this season. He should be considered a fringe TE1 play moving forward. This week he'll face a Bucs defense that has only allowed one score to tight ends all season.
Week 4 vs. Colts
Jimmy Graham had a breakout game last week, finishing 6-60-2 on 10 targets. While one of Graham's touchdowns came from Mitch Trubisky, the bulk of his production came after Nick Foles took over. Graham had just two targets from Trubisky in the first half (and first drive of the second half), and saw eight targets from Foles. We have to wait and see if this is an actual trend, but it at least puts Graham back on the fantasy radar. He's a lower-end TE1 in Week 4 in a tough matchup (No. 7 aFPA TE) against the Colts.
Week 3 at Atlanta Falcons
After seeing seven targets in Week 1, Jimmy Graham saw just one target in Week 2. He also saw a decrease in playing time, going from 80% of the offensive snaps to 62% in Week 2. The Bears have been mixing in both Demetrius Harris and Cole Kmet into the lineups. Graham is a touchdown dependent fantasy option.
Week 2 vs. New York Giants
Jimmy Graham had an interesting Week 1. He saw a solid seven targets, but only finished with 25 yards on three receptions. He also scored a touchdown while playing 80% of the offensive snaps. Graham's best days are behind him, but if he's able to continue to get seven targets in games he could have value as a low-end TE1. As for now, he should be viewed as a TE2 you can avoid for Week 2 in a matchup against the Giants.
Week 1 at Detroit Lions
The Bears lost Trey Burton and added Jimmy Graham this season. But Chicago also drafted Cole Kmet in the second round. Burton was unable to find success in this offense, and Graham's best days are way behind him. We're projecting Graham to finish with less than 30 yards in this game, making him a weak fantasy option. Until we see Graham produce, he's best left on the bench, or on waivers.
Week 16 at Minnesota Vikings
Jimmy Graham had just one target for no yards against the Vikings back in Week 2. And he had one catch for no yards last week. If that sounds appealing to you, have at it. But you'll probably be jumping off that ledge by yourself.
Week 15 vs. Chicago Bears
Jimmy Graham caught three passes for 49 yards on five targets last week, which is pretty much his stat line every week. Or at least in that range. Graham has to score to be a TE1, And he's only scored three times this season. The Bears have been solid against opposing tight ends this season, so you can't count on the score.
Week 13 vs. New York Giants
Jimmy Graham got just two targets last week, catching one pass for seven yards against the 49ers. The Giants' defense has been good against opposing tight ends this season, so don't expect any kind of big game out of Graham. He's a TE2 with all teams out of their bye weeks.
Week 12 at San Francisco 49ers
It's hard to love Jimmy Graham this week. The 49ers have allowed just 34 catches for 231 yards and two touchdowns to opposing tight ends all season. Graham hasn't been a big factor in the Green Bay passing game -- at least not a consistent one. There are better options available this week.
Week 10 vs. Carolina Panthers
Jimmy Graham has gotten at least four targets in each of the past four games, though he turned that into four catches for just 17 yards last week. Carolina's defense has been tough on opposing tight ends this season, though, so be careful starting Graham here. The Panthers have allowed just 29 receptions and two touchdowns to opposing tight ends this season.
