Week 16 at Arizona Cardinals
Evan Engram was targeted 13 times last week, catching 8 passes for 87 yards. He’s had at least 50 yards in three straight games, and he continues to be one of the most reliable receiving options for the struggling Giants.
The Cardinals have been very average defensively this season, and have allowed a modest 6 touchdowns to opposing tight ends. Fantasy owners should consider Engram a steady option at the position because of his consistent targets, and we have him ranked just inside our top-10 this week.
Week 15 vs. Philadelphia Eagles
Evan Engram caught 4 passes for 54 yards last week in a loss to the Cowboys. While his production has been lacking in three of his last four weeks, he’s been targeted at least 6 times in each of those games and he remains the best option for Eli Manning in the New York passing game.
The Eagles have been very average against the tight end position this season. Opposing tight ends have scored 5 touchdowns against Philadelphia. Engram should be heavily targeted and as the most talented pass-catcher suiting up for the Giants right now, he should be active in all leagues, regardless of matchup.
Week 14 vs. Dallas Cowboys
Evan Engram rebounded from a couple of subpar outings last week against the Raiders, catching 7 balls for 99 yards and a touchdown. Engram has done well for most of the season and should still be considered a reliable every-week option in all league formats. He’s tied for fifth in the league among tight ends with 6 touchdown receptions this year.
This week, Engram should do well against the Cowboys. While Dallas has only allowed 4 receiving touchdowns to the tight end position this year, they’ve also given up 57 catches, and the Giants should continue to lean on their talented rookie. He should be active in all league formats.
Week 13 at Oakland Raiders
Evan Engram only had 18 yards against Washington last week, his second straight week with minimal production after rattling off four straight games with a score. Engram has been targeted 13 times during this two-game slump, showing he’s still a very active part of the passing game.
The Raiders are giving up the seventh-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends this season. Despite a couple of lackluster performances and a shocking change at the quarterback position this week, Engram should benefit from ample targets and a nice matchup. We have him as a top-10 option in all league formats.
Week 12 at Washington
Evan Engram didn’t do well against the Chiefs last week, catching only 1 of the 6 balls thrown his way for 9 yards. However, he scored a touchdown in each of his previous four games, and he’s averaging 7.8 targets per game. He should continue to be a viable every-week starter.
This week, he’ll face a Washington defense allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to the tight end position. He should be active in all league formats as he looks to bounce back from a disappointing Week 11 performance.
Week 11 vs. Kansas City Chiefs
Evan Engram is having a fantastic rookie season, despite playing on a struggling Giants team. After 6 catches, 31 yards, and a score last week against the 49ers, he now has a touchdown in four straight games and ranks sixth among tight ends with 40 receptions on the season.
This week, Engram faces a Chiefs defense that has actually only allowed 1 touchdown to opposing tight ends this year, but has given up 16 passing touchdowns on the season. Engram should continue to be heavily targeted in the Giants’ offense, and he’s a must-start every week, regardless of matchup.
Week 10 at San Francisco 49ers
Evan Engram had 4 catches for 70 yards and a touchdown against the Rams last week, and he has now scored in three consecutive games. Engram is also averaging 7.9 targets per game this year, making him the focal point of the Giants' passing game.
Expect Engram to continue to be heavily targeted and to turn in another solid fantasy outing against the 49ers this week. San Francisco has allowed a touchdown to the tight end position in three straight games. Engram is a top option this week and should be active in all league formats.
Week 9 vs. Los Angeles Rams
Evan Engram has a touchdown in each of his last two games, including catching 6 balls for 60 yards against the Seahawks before the bye last week. Engram has become the most reliable target in the Giants’ passing game after injuries wiped out three of their top four receivers for the rest of the season. He leads the team with 30 receptions on the season.
This week, Engram faces a Rams defense that has been much better against the pass than against the run this year. However, with the number of targets Engram has been getting—7.6 per game—he should still be an excellent option in all league formats. We have him as a top-five option this week, and he should be an every-week starter.
Week 7 vs. Seattle Seahawks
Evan Engram had a great game against the Broncos last week, putting up 82 yards and a touchdown on 5 receptions. He led the team with 7 targets, and with all the injuries the Giants have at the WR position, Engram is easily the most talented option for Eli Manning in the passing game.
This week, Engram faces a Seahawks defense that has only allowed 4 touchdown passes this season, and only one to the TE position. However, Engram should once again lead the team in targets, making him a viable starting option in all league formats.
Week 6 at Denver Broncos
Evan Engram was blanked last week and ended up disappointing fantasy owners everywhere with a big goose egg. He’s been pretty consistent with targets the rest of the year, however, and he should recover moving forward, especially with the Giants losing three WRs last week to injury.
The Broncos, as good as they are on defense, have actually allowed the sixth-most fantasy points per game to opposing TEs this year. Expect Engram to be heavily targeted as one of the few remaining options left in the Giants passing game, and for him to be a quality fantasy option in all league formats.
