Scouting report

CHI TE Zach Miller - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at New Orleans Saints

Zach Miller caught 2 of the Bears' 4 pass completions last week, finishing with 29 yards. Miller has been one of the lone receivers to be involved in the passing game since Mitch Trubisky took over, but he's still not very effective. He carries some value as a red zone target in a favorable matchup against the Saints, but he's a low-end TE1 option this week, at best.

CHI TE Zach Miller - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Carolina Panthers

Zach Miller has now caught a touchdown in back-to-back games, but that's about all he's doing. He's averaged just 2 receptions in his last four games and is averaging less than 35 yards per game this season. Sure he's a solid red zone target, but that kind of production is hard to rely on. He's not really worth looking at in fantasy.

CHI TE Zach Miller - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Baltimore Ravens

Zach Miller led the Bears in targets (7) last week with new quarterback Mitch(ell) Trubisky. He finished with three receptions for 39 yards and caught the rookie QB's only touchdown pass of the night. Miller could have some value if Trubisky keeps targeting him like this, but we're not too excited about him.

Miller gets a tough matchup this week against the Ravens, who allowed Marcedes Lewis to go off earlier this year, but have mostly kept the position contained this season. Miller is nothing more than a low-end TE2.

CHI TE Zach Miller - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. Minnesota Vikings

Zach Miller is third on the Bears in receptions (13) and receiving yards (143), but he hasn't done much from a fantasy perspective. He's still scoreless on the season, and If he's not scoring and doesn't catch many passes, then what good is he, really? Miller is a low-end TE2 play this week, which means he doesn't have value in most fantasy leagues.

CHI TE Zach Miller - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at Green Bay Packers

Zach Miller caught 1 pass for 17 yards on 3 targets last week. Miller has been more involved in the Bears offense than their receivers this season, but not by much. He only has 98 yards through three games and has no scores on the season. There's really no reason to start him in fantasy.

CHI TE Zach Miller - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

Zach Miller had 9 targets last week, which tied him with Tarik Cohen for second-most on the team. He didn't do a whole lot with those targets, though, catching 6 passes for 42 yards. Miller has been better than we thought he'd be, but he's still a pretty unreliable option at the tight end position.

He carries some value in PPR formats due to how much the Bears pass the ball, but he's nothing more than a low-end TE2 play this week.

CHI TE Zach Miller - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Zach Miller has emerged as a possible sleeper candidate at tight end. He's not worth starting yet, but he is worth keeping an eye on. With the Bears' top two receivers out, Miller had the second-most targets (6) in Week 1.

He didn't do much from a fantasy perspective, catching 5 passes for 39 yards, but if he continues to get a solid amount of targets he could be a fantasy factor. For now, though, it's too risky since we haven't seen a large sample size.
